I don't know what you're talking about? I've bumped into shit on a curb and popped tires, locked them up, lost them altogether. I mean it's not like when you touch something you see scratches and damage like IV but hit something fast enough and that car is :dead:

In IV I could take a bus and slam into a car and everything on it would crumple into a ball. In V I do that same thing and the front and rear lose metal and crumples but nowhere near as before. Especially this is prevalent with the roof damage. The losing of the tires is nice though.

They throw you in that mission when Michael's Stamina meter isn't very high at the time (unless you build it up in the early game).

I cheated myself (hopped a barrier) and I barely won the race.

Good thing you can go back a replay stuff.

On another note, it's a small detail in-game but the Star Tours buses that you find around Vinewood can be ridden for $40. :kanye:

i didnt cheat...didnt even think about it cause the mission just happened and then we were running. i won it at least. she was pissed and hopped on her bicycle and took off.

i did the tour bus my 2nd night playing...that was a really cool tour of the lankmarks. some i knew, most i didnt

Vehicle damage is seriously degraded in this game compared to IV.

my only gripe is that i shot the shit out of a car tyring to blow it up and it wouldnt explode. other than that i think they did a fantastic job with making the car run and drive like shit when its abused

The running mission was not difficult, I did it within the first 4 hours of playing, as long as you dont get caught on stairs or pedestrians, you can dust her. Also, block her a la NASCAR on the final stretch.

The great car damage modeling is why my Michael will have great running stamina. It seems like every time I'm at the shipyard, I manage to wreck my car (Usually exploring in the dark) and there aren't any other
cars nearby. So, I end up running my ass off trying to find one.


I'm sure this is common knowledge but if you just tap the x button (or A on 360), you will keep running full speed. So, stamina really doesn't matter that much.



Although, I do have a funny story about how I got a wanted level. I was just walking, literally minding my own business and decided I was going to go find a car in the opposite direction.

Forgetting that I'm playing GTA and not Madden, I smash on the right trigger as I'm turning around and laid down the best hook punch ever, squarely in the face of a cop.

No passing Go or collecting $200 for him. I dropped him like a sand bag.

What I find interesting with the 3 characters is how I play with them.

• Trevor - When I am him I bash other cars on purpose, kill innocent people, start fights, and just basically don't give a shit about anything.
• Franklin - I am more careful driving and basically stay quiet. I do my missions and don't cause any chaos.
• Michael - He is sort of a mix between the 2. With Michael I always seem to want to drive the nice car but be a prick in a more devious way.

I didn't even realize I was doing this till last nite where I had a wtf moment. Quite fascinating IMO.

Great video game....I am really enjoying it.

I'm right with you man. Even caught myself switching to Trevor because I was in a mood to try to get 5 stars. Later I thought, why didn't i just do that with Franklin. Brilliant work by Rockstar.

It probably would destroy everything as it is the #1 Xbox live game sold and it is only $20. The kids love it and play it for hours.

Bomber probably knows, he's the only one I've ever seen get out of one. I've never done it my life to be honest.



I finally found Trevor and I have to say, even though I do not like country music at all, the music is fitting when I'm cruising around in a VW Baja through the trailer parks

I flew a Jumbo Jet last night....I got away until my plane ran out of fuel(maybe) and went for nose dive into a tall building... It was like my jet just stopped working... I tried to at least jump out but no buttons worked... Anyone else had this problem?
