Do you guys use the wall anchors to support them? I have a 46" LED Samsung, and maybe it's because I am paranoid, but it always looks like it has a slight forward lean.

Did you guys use the anchors to tie your TV to the wall? I live in a rental, so was kind of hesitant to put it in. But if there are enough horror stories, might go ahead and do it

If you have that thing on the wall and not screwed into the studs take the tv down right now and put the anchors in.

Your just asking for a disaster even with the plastic anchors lol.

It's not a wall mount. It's on the stand that came with, but there is like a 15 inch string that is to go from the centre of the TV to the wall as extra support

Wait what? Unless you have a dog or some stupid animal that could knock it over then I wouldn't worry about it.

If you are worried about it falling over then just use the extra support. It can't hurt and personally I would rather feel good knowing there is no chance of it falling over then worry constantly about it.

It takes a lot for them to just fall over when they are on a stand mainly because the bases of them are usually pretty big and do a good job at preventing them from falling over.

True, it's just the most expensive thing in my house and want to make sure I've covered all the bases

what do u do to hide the wires

what you need 2 cover plates, drywall saw

Cut two holes in the wall one where you want the wires going in and one where you want them going out. Get two cover plates, you can get ones with predrilled holes or buy cheapo solid ones and drill your own holes.


The wires will go into a cover plate in the wall and come out of a cover plate towards the ground going towards your entertainment center,stand, or whatever you're using for your other equipment. Cover plates are about $1 for plain ones, specialty ones might run you $5 and a drywall saw is about $4 probably. The plates will come with drywall anchors.









CB, go ahead and put an anchor in the wall and mount the tv to it for your own piece of mind. Your landlord is likely going to paint after you move out, so its nothing for him to spackle a little spot where an anchor or two was. Unless you have some landlord who is anal and wont let you put anything into the walls.

my does....i love my LG

We do. We have a 55 inch Plasma and on the Stand it leans forward a tiny bit. We also have a baby who likes to tear up everything he touches so like the day we saw the lean we immediately tied the TV to the wall for extra support. Works great.
