[XB1] Halo 2 Anniversary/Halo 5 thread (NeoGAF rumor drama)

2/1/2014 update: There has been a lot of NeoGAF drama about Microsoft lately, namely rumors posted by "nktrnl" that have prompted Microsoft to prepare legal action against said user. As far as Halo goes, he has said the following:

-Halo 2 Anniversary will release 11/14/2014

-Halo 5 will be out in 2015

Keep in mind these are rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt coming from NeoGAF. MS getting involved adds a little interest to the rumors though.

Really liked the way 343 changed the direction of Halo. The game, whether single or multiplayer, really got stale over the years. They did a great job of changing things up.

Also, not having a Halo release every year will certainly help. We had enough of a layoff between being inundated with Halo 3, Wars, ODST and Reach that Halo 4 was actually fun and didn't seem like a gloss-over sequel.

I did like the way they changed the multiplayer in some aspects, but really they alienated the hardcore multiplayer fanbase and most of them went to COD.

I hope the campaign is more open-world. Being able to explore more of the giant maps and different ways to get from Point A to Point B are needed imo

Elaborate please. I bought Halo 4 and was very excited...then gave up after realizing it was the same stupid activate pillar...fight off covenant...run to next pillar flip switch..fight off covenant. Plus like GOW , Halo added too many dumb way weapons.
Last Halo game I really enjoyed was Reach.
(No MP for me )
As for Halo 2. Meh if you ask me it jumped the shark with 2. The SP campaign started well , was getting interesting at the end but was a convoluted mess in the middle. MP was awesome though.
