H2A looks ridiculous. Glad they're bringing back the H2 ranking system to H1-H4.

First thing I'll be playing will be classic Halo 2 matchmaking--either team slayer or BTB.

This game is probably the best value of the fall releases considering how many different versions of Halo you are getting for your money. Even more so when you consider the HD work to upgrade the maps on the older versions that are included in the collection.

I hated that ranking system, but everything else I enjoyed greatly from Halo 2. I shouldn't be punished because I get stuck with a team of randoms in objective-based gameplay and we keep losing matches because people do their own thing.

Yeah, I got what you meant after I replied. I think they wait until Halo 5, but it's always possible. I don't think they go with a Halo bundle two years in a row.

I enjoyed Halo 3's system. You had one rank for ranked and another rank for social games. I agree with you. Will have to find some quality players and a team if you want to rank up.

Ugh, can't wait.

Since these videos have started coming out I've been craving Halo again. Went out and bought one of those Halo 3 edition Xbox 360s and Halo:ODST(has the multiplayer disc with all the maps on it for Halo 3, best reason to buy the game imo). Kind of intrigued to buy an original Xbox and try Halo 2 on XBC, or just setting up my PC and playing Halo 2 on that as well. I had sold all my 360 stuff so I had to go out and buy it all again :falcons:.

Pete, Halo 2 is not online compatible with the 360 anymore, so you would be getting it for the single-player only. I imagine PC still has online servers up somewhere.

If you are around tomorrow night, I still have all of my Halo games, so I can play. If you have the Anniversary edition of Halo CE, they have Halo 2 maps.

No you can use an original Xbox and get online using Xbox Connect through it I believe. I don't think it's worth it right now to get all that shit again, but if you have it and Halo 2 it's worth a shot. I need to set up my PC though and try Halo 2 on it again, it ran it pretty well when I first bought the computer in like 2010 :tiger:.

Halo 2 pc is pretty much dead from what I read on reddit. Bungie shut off the servers, but did add a patch to the game for custom servers so the 10 people still playing could still play.

I'll be buying this game for sure, my mouth waters every time a new video comes out.

I think it's picked up lately, been watching Ogre 2 play FFA a few times this last week. Would definitely be tough to find good people to play with this late in the game, but it would be kind of fun to use the H2 BR again.
