The Lions would NEVER draft Maualuga at 20. He's not an every down LB and he's best suited for a 3-4.

And although you may be right about Stafford, I still think our best move is to take Curry first overall and get Freeman at 20 (he would shuffle back if Stafford was still on the board for San Francisco's pick).

Can't see the Niners spending a top ten pick on a quarterback that only played one full season in college, especially considering the fact that we have a few wait-and-see guys on the roster with Shaun Hill, Alex Smith, and Damon Huard. I think the team is ok with those three guys.

dont like the ravens pick, Harivn is too small and not otugh at all, he is too injury prone and just wont suceed in the NFL IMO

I believe Matthews fits the Belichick mold a little bit better than English although it was a toss up between the two guys. I could definitely see English being the pick.. but Matthews just looks like a Belichick type player to me.

But why would an NFL team consider that a character issue. Maybe work ethic or that hes dumb. But doesnt mean he isnt a good guy.

Weight issues can point to bigger character issues like committment, personal responsibilty, etc.

I think too often people still associate "character issues" with only guys like Pacman or Vick and big trouble. People can have character issues that don't lead them to committ felonies.

I don't know if I'm sold on Crabtree. He looked great when I did get to see him play but his durability and 40 time have some question marks surrounding them.

Not only that, but his stats were inflated due to the offense that he played in.

I really hope the Raiders take Maclin or Jason Smith if he's still on the board (which I doubt).

I think Crabtree is a better prospect than Maclin, but Maclin's a better fit for Oakland.. if that makes sense.

Crabtree's biggest strengths are route running and his hands. Maclin's biggest strengths are his speed and ability to make a play after the catch (or punt return) .. in a vertical offense that becomes more useful given the fact you want your guy to be able to separate from defenders.

I do believe Crabtree has game-changing type ability.. but would struggle a bit in a vertical attack. The west coast offense on the other hand... dude could be scary good.

And there's no way in hell Jason Smith drops to 7, unless Tonya Harding clubs both of his knees between now and draft day.
