HB Direct Snap - In Poll Form

In the times I've called it, I've never broken it for a TD or a huge gain. The most yards I've gotten is probably like 8-10 yards. There are times where I got stuffed for a yard, or most times got between 3-5 yards.

The Patriots do that sorta thing like once every two years so having it being used multiple times in one game is not sim. Once per game i think is max for me.

lol i was running a read option play with Lendale White im talking about the 3wr play where there is a bunch rightside and the wildcat player just runs up the gut untouched. NO matter if you call man, zone or what your defensive players spread towards the sidelines as soon as the ball is snapped.

They do spread the line...what's I've been doing is trying different blitzing plays out of nickel packages and taking control of the CB covering the WR is lined up by himself and using that guy to try and stop it.

If it is impossible to stop and is broken like the FB dive then just dont use it

Not at all, i was just trying to show that the cheesiest community on the net has a problem with the glitchiness of the play and how it affects the defense.

I dont know how to feel about it though because i feel it can be stopped.

ive never ran this play but ive had it run a few times against me with very little success(so far). im fine either way with the majority.

From what I heard it kills zone D. This was the case last year on pretty much all run plays. If you ask me it should be allowed. Certain D's arent good vs certain offenses obviously. I would imagine a zone blitz would have better success that a soft zone covg.

Wasn't the HB Direct snap one of the plays that had to be patched or removed from one of the games a few years back because it was so cheesy?

By the way, the only time I've seen it used this year was in a game with mobb and Westbrook gashed me for a nice gain. Not saying much though since I suck no matter what play is thrown at me. It did surprise the hell out of me though since I haven't seen anyone use that play in about 3 years.

I used it once and did worse than I do with my Power I running plays.

Don't see the big deal if it's used realistically (i.e. 1-2 times a game)

This is why I run it. You don't see it often and I use it to catch a guy off guard and hopefully pick up some good yards. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Yeah it's nowhere near as glitchy as it used to be. That play was an automatic first down no matter what you did every single time on the older next gen editions.

They made it a lot less effective.. so I don't think it's a major issue.

Well if it gets automatic yardage than obviously it shouldn't be allowed because even if you use it once a game it's BS. Like say, you need a big 4th down. You can't just whip out this play because you haven't used it yet and convert your 4th down.

But I haven't seen it or used it so I don't even know if it is automatic. If it is though then I don't think it should be allowed.

It's as automatic as any other play in Madden, meaning it isn't. Like I said, I've gotten stuffed on the play and picked up some nice yards too.
