From what I hear the players hated it, the coaching staff hated it and who knows what kind of issues were had with them around all the time.

I thought it was a fun series but I'd rather they just stay away from the playoffs.

considering they are a 2.5 month gruelling battle, these athletes on the final 2 teams are fuckin gutted when they get there. the last thing they need is to deal with this crap.

Having a commisioner who didn't have his head up his ass and take deals with people like ESPN and such are what is really needed.

I'm sure a playoff one would be really good and it would open people's eyes as to what some of these players go through. I'd love to see how some players deal with some of the insane injuries they deal with and how their nerves pray on them. What I fear though is the camera's everywhere would be intrusive and disrupt the game.

I'm counting on the best NHL players (assuming the guys playing for Lord Stanley are the best) being comfortable in front of the cameras. I'd imagine they would welcome the ability to showcase the importance and the crowning achievement to fans.

Would be swell? They turned down an ESPN deal right after the lock out because ESPN wasn't paying out enough. What really sucks is at this point now all of that would be behind them and financially they would of been better.

Doubt it matters. Americans aren't going to embrace hockey because it's a Canadian thing, it doesn't matter what TV station it's on. It'll never be a "big" sport there.

However, when the NFL and NBA players are not playing next fall, there's gonna be a FUCK TON of available TV time on sports networks...

Not sure which 'province' you're from, but the UFC is about to do huge business this April in Toronto (first time it's legal) and in June when they go to Vancouver.

You should go either time, will be HUGE shows. Plus, your very own...Georges St. Pierre will defend his title in April.

UFC may be going into the Roger's centre in April, but I don't think any hockey fan would deny that if the Maple Leafs played in the Roger Centre every game, they would still sell out the damn thing every night.

If the NHL was smart, they would pick things that make for a good story. Doing one on the Maple Leafs would be good, because I think getting an inside look on how they actually work day to day would be nice. Same with Montreal. Hell, just do a Toronto vs Montreal one.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 30 for 30 style done for each team, but done in HBO style. I'd be interested in hearing how some teams work inside who you don't think about, like Atlanta, Nashville, Minny, LA.
