HBO 24/7 for Stanley Cup?

I think with a decent TV deal and the current players in the NHL, it could do a decent rating for ESPN. Need to contract/move some teams though, boost the level of play, and really have a product to sell. Getting 50k people to watch a Coyotes/Panthers game is not going to work
 
That is why you dont' put that on TV. People hate the pens on TV but they draw a lot of viewers, same with the Capitals. But just make a story about the game and get people involved.
 
HBO should just bid for the broadcast rights of games, and air them live. Mic up the players and have tons of cameras/replay angles. There is no way this wouldn't be awesome.
