[ALL] HDMI switchers

You're not understanding me Dave. I know what they're capable of, but unlike HDMI cables themselves these switchers seem to have actual quality issues and some don't work as advertised. Whereas an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable.

I have this same one. No complaints.

I ordered that one yesterday. I figure that if there are any issues I'll just use it in my retro game room instead.

I got this exact same one and it works really well

sometimes it doesn't always switch back to tv, but for the most part it works extremely well.

I would not waste money on those 80+ monstrosities

I am still waiting for my $15 switcher. Will let you guys know how it works. Again, I am simply going by Amazon reviews.

My TV has two HDMI inputs, I need HDMI for my ps3, 360 and soon to be Apple TV (ok, I know, Apple TV sucks compared to Roku, but I want to mirror with my iPad).

Right now the two HDMI inputs have my ps4 and satellite box, while the 360 is stuck on my one component input.

So, did you guys just get your wrapped in some bubble wrap? No box or anything for mine. I also see it has a connection for a power adapter but it doesn't come with one. The whole two page instructions do say it doesn't require power and it wasn't supposed to have one, so why not Earth is it there then?

Mine didn't come with an adaptor either. I just use one that has the same connector and voltage.

I don't use it anymore because my receiver has enough inputs and outputs. But I think it was from an old modem.

Oh, I don't even know actually. Perhaps the signal needs to be amplified. I honestly don't know.

It powers the ir sensor if you want to use a remote to switch ports without clicking the button but it still does it automatically

Ok, so without the adapter I can't use the remote? But you're saying that if I have my 360, PS3 and WiiU all hooked up to it as soon as I turn one of those on it automatically switches to that device?

1 is auto on

If 2 turns on it goes to that and so forth

Well, I finally hooked this thing up. It was obviously super easy. Since my receiver only has three HDMI inputs I now have my DirecTv receiver in one, PS4 in one nd the switcher in one with the PS3, 360 and WiiU connected to it. I tested everything and it seems to be great but In have had one issue already. I was playing PS3 and had to take a break for about 15 minutes to take care of something. I come back to my TV and it says No Signal. I see that the WiiU went from off (red light) to stand by (orange light) for some reason. Once it went back to red the PS3 picture kicked back on.
Any idea why the WiiU randomly did that and also why a device in standby took precedence over the one that was powered on?
