I completely disagree. Based on this season alone, Spiller compares to neither Ingram nor Gerhart. I admit that I haven't watched him play this season nor do I know of any injuries he suffered, but he failed to reach 100 yards rushing in nine games this season. It also took him a 13th game just to pop up in the conversation. He is not a worthy candidate (at least over the other two running backs) IMO.

im surprised mccoy is still top 5 especially after his performance against nebraska

If he wins, I'm sure his "clutch" drive against the 'Huskers will be a big reason. :smh:

You have to factor in his return tds and the fact that he's scored a td in every game this season too

I don't know if he'll end up winning it, but here's a bit of why ESPN's Tim Griffin voted for McCoy.

But in the end, McCoy persevered to take his team to the conference championship and advance to the national championship game. Detractors talk about how he disappeared in that Nebraska game. I actually look at the toughness he showed to engineer his team to its biggest victory during the time he has been Texas’ quarterback -- despite the fierce pounding he took.

McCoy didn't even construct a game winning drive. Nebraska committed two bone head penalties. The kickoff out of bounds that gave them the ball at the 40, and a 15 yard horse collar penalty. He was incredibly lucky on the second-to-last play that the ball was out of bounds with 1 second left. That play shouldn't have even happened, but he thought he had the time to run that last play.

You take away Ndamukong Suh from Nebraska, we lose that game. Hell, we dont even stay close. Remove McCoy, well, was he even there? Could have fooled me.

They have been right with the winner (been right with the top 5 most years too) every year since they started though so it works I guess

Normally they come within 2-3% of the actual percentage too

This website has predicted the top 5 in order 6 years in a row if I remember correctly but has admitted to being 3 or so % off in some years so that basically means it's far too close to call right now lol
