just look at the quality of this game. they made great 8 bit games before and thats what this is. A crappy NES game that gets sold for $20 per while the developers rape you for $19 bucks. you are getting ass raped and thanking them for it. Not to mention, by purchasing a game like this you are promoting the development of more of these shitty side scrolling low budget games that allow the developers to simply take your money. god dam dude, have some fucking balls. dont waste your money on some shitty ass 8 bit scroller just because it might provide a little enjoyment....unless of course you like ass rape

i dont understand you guys. this game would be fine if it was a vita/whatever the nintendo handheld is called. but a next gen/pc game? unacceptable. this is nothing more than a cash grab. this is a cheap design game that is made simply to profit off of people whose standards have sunk so low that they crave anything that resembles a fun game.

You do realize that this game is like ten fucking dollars, right? It's not $60. It's developed by an INDEPENDENT developer. These guys don't normally make loads and loads of cash. In fact it's very rara when they do, like in the case of Minecraft. Personally I think that 'Game' is digital legos and complete shit but tons of people bought it. It was created by ONE guy spending hundreds, probably thousands, of hours of his own time and money.

I think the developer of this game only has a few guys on the team. These guys are propbably lucky if they make six figures on this game. If they do, awesome. They deserve it because it's a fun and quality game.

I'm confused as to your basis for all of this. Do you know anyone in game design? Because you talk as if indie companies are connected to anualized AAA games or something, as if they're all working together thinking "Now that standards are low, we can get together, spend all of our income, try to put this game together with 2 people, and everyone will LOVE it because of the AAA games!"

It doesn't really make any sense. Properly identified indie games (i.e. -- NOT the games that are given a bazillion dollars on Kickstarter, like Wasteland), like say, Super Meat Boy when it was designed, are called that often because it's a couple of guy's in a garage. Their graphical styles are such for one of two reasons: 1) aesthetic choice; or 2) a combination of aesthetic comprimise with realistic goals/funds. You act like something like Hotline Miami or Binding of Isaac have some evil manipulator pulling the strings, putting games out that cost $0.50 and charging people $15.00. That's as insane as it is misguided. Honestly, you sound like you're the one that doesn't really know the ins and outs of this, yet you're speaking as if you do.

And at the end of the day, your argument always comes back to the graphics, which is unfair and borderline dumb. Especially if you refuse to play the games. You're the same person that way-back-when shit all over a 360 top 20 games list because Mass Effect was #1, even though you never played it. Then you played it and loved it. Yet in that thread, you were adament that the game was terrible.
