How have you guys gotten nukes?

Im having trouble. I know you usually wanna have a Harrier, AC130/Chopper Gunner, and Nuke to get one but what classes and tactics have you guys used and stuff? I have been close a lot of times but does anyone around here have any tips?.........Besides dont die :shifty:

Id advise chopper gunner over ac130 but its your preference really.

The tips i can give are you are playing to get 7 kills. To start the match, if your goal is to get the nuke, your main focus on should be get 7 kills and not dieing, because if you get about 4 or so kills then die and try to build up a killstreak after that it becomes harder to accomplish because people play better as the game goes on and time might become a factor. So pickin up a 25 kill streak is tough later in games.

So your main goal is 7 kills. Usually i go in and find a decent spot that i can see where a lot of action is at without leaving me in plain site. This is just learning the maps and routes most people take. Usually to start matches people run out to the middle of maps and try to find action and it should be easy to pick them off. I usually get to about 4-5 kills like this before they start noticing my spot and gunning for me. So then i go into heavy camp mode and claymore the entrance to my spot im in. Now you have to camp and play a defensive game because you just need a few kills to get to 7 and you dont want to be dumb and go run out searching because chances are you will die before you get 7 kills.

Then after you get seven just let air support do its job. Harrier can easily get you 11 if not it can get 9-10 so you just got to get a garbage kill while still being defensive and extremely cautious.

Then your 11 kill streak should get you to a 20-25 killstreak and it should be easy from there on.

Guns : Any Assault rifle

Perks : i like scavenger pro because you get extra bullets so no need to search for ammo and endless claymores from dead bodies.

your red and green perks can be whatever you please really

This is a very girly way to get a nuke, and its really easy and basically anyone can get lucky with this set up and do it but if you want one bad (i remember when i was trying hard to get a nuke) this is the easiest set up to get one.

the red one does matter. Get cold blooded because on regualr assault rifles in general dont take much to kill them with out stopping power. And Pavelow instead fo Harrier is better because Pavelow usually gets 6-7 kills so when yuo do get the chopper gunner your guraneteed 25 kills in a row. I cant tell you how many times I have harriers and when i get the chopper gunner only get 20 kills in a row before the gunner runs out. W/e I have had my pavelow and gotten a chopper gunner, Ive gotten a nuke. And only twice have i gotten a nuke using harriers.

Do not use a Pavelow, it is better in my opinion but it takes up all of the airspace and prevents you from calling in the Chopper Gunner... If that didn't happen I would use it!

Im pretty sure the Pavelow doesn't contribute to your killstreak...

After further research it appears the Pavelow only adds to your killstreak if you get one kill before using it. AKA a 10 killstreak.

Interesting.......Should I go for a 10 Killstreak and get a Pavelow and Chopper Gunner or a 7 for Harrier and Chopper Gunner? And what game modes do you guys usually play, domination?

Im havent even attempted to get a nuke. I usually dont have the patience to camp for it but I would suggest a great low profile camping spot the following perks along with a gun with a silencer:

Scavenger
Cold Blooded
Ninja

1st for more ammo, second to not get picked up by any enemy radars, heart beat sensors and air support. Of course your biggest worry would be someone trying to kill your ass when they see you constantly camping on the kill cam. Its probably best to try and get the nuke on an objective game where people are constantly running trying to get the objective and completely ignoring the kill cam.

You also want the air support killstreaks. Chopper gunner is essential since you can get between 10 and 15 kills easily if it isnt shot down.

I don't even attempt to get it. I was always die by some bullshit anyways when my killstreak is high.

I've been using Silenced Scar, Magnum with tactical knife, Marathon/Scavenger, Cold Blooded and commando.

Your very stealth and stay away from your teammates, basically stay away from where the action is, and if the enemy gets a UAV and your within 5 feet of you teammates chances are yu'll be spotted. I tend to run around and stab 4-5 people before i even start shooting, if you can get 4-5 knife kills and 2-3 kills with a claymore/semtex/silenced gun then your golden. now call in your harrier and continue running AWAY from the action, watch before you run around a corner and always be ready to stab somebody.

Chopper gunner is self explainatory, usually ill try and stab one or 2 more people before i call in the chopper gunner, on my way to a great hiding spot so you dont get killed while controlling it, if you have scavenger you should pick up extra claymores around you so they cant sneak up on you. By the time the gunner runs out you should hae a nuke... if not hide in a corner and stab somebody when they run by.

Getting to 7, and then to 25(after 11) is the hardest part. Sometimes you get a knucklehead team who wont shoot at your Harrier or Chopper, sometimes they're smart and those killstreaks go down quick.

Hardline could be a big help. But I prefer stopping power or cold blooded.

Have you unlocked it as one of your killstreak rewards? If you haven't, then it wouldn't matter if you got a 100 killstreak, there would be no nuke available.

See that Knife challenge actually takes some skill, I just don't like the fact that kills from your kill streaks add to the streak. It should only be your gun,knife or w/e to your streak no support.

Did something similar to this about a month ago on Favela. Got 12 kills with the knife, then copped out and used the CG. Forgot I had a Harrier because I was jumping in windows and knifing. The adrenaline was pumping.

Just got one a couple days ago with Harrier, CG, and Nuke on Invasion.
