Compared to the uneventful, boring season 1, this season was fantastic.
Really? I thought a ton of more stuff happened in the first season.
Building Crisp from scratch
Going on a man hunt for the right Dneum.
Getting the meeting with the Asian guy
Changing from jeans to shirts.
Going on a man hunt to fill their quota.
Getting the hookup from Lisa P.
Getting their stuff stolen by Renee.
Landing the trip to Japan.
Seemed like every episode they had a physical agenda to accomplish.
On the other hand, this season 80% of the Crisp story line was just a moral dilemma within Ben. After the first two episodes I don't remember Cam doing anything Crisp related. I'm seriously drawing blanks on what he has been doing this season.
Crisp was the after thought to a bunch of irrelevant story lines and characters. Lake Bell should just be there for show, climbing in and out of beds half naked. I really don't care about her life as a magazine writer. Why is Gina Gershon's husband part of the show? She could easily carry his business role and instead of him having screen time. That time could be spent on her enticing Ben with more sex.
Rasta Monsta I use to have no problem with, but I had to draw the line when actual Jamaicans started popping up.
Up until the last minute of the season Crisp had progressed nowhere from the first episode, only for everything to fall together off screen at the end. Cam found a tailor? Cool, how about you actually show us that instead of spending 5 minutes on the exchange of a gay Jamaican for weed spray.
This show ended like a series that's getting cancelled and has to unexpectedly squeeze everything into one final episode.
