Matty was absolutely terrible, he didn't throw a good looking pass all day, the line blocked like shit, we couldn't get a consistent running game going, and the defense didn't show up.. for whatever reason. The lack of effort they showed on both sides of the ball scares me heading into the playoffs. I can't say I'm surprised though, they either come out and play like a superbowl contender or they play like the Lions. The inconsistency with this team is unbearable.
I agree with you and how overrated Fitzgerald is. He's an awesome WR but it was just foolish for people to group him with the likes of Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, and Reggie Wayne. The simple fact that I can make a case for DeSean Jackson, Miles Austin, Vincent Jackson, and Wes Welker being more valuable to their teams this season shows how overrated Fitz is.
That being said, the team is a different team with Warner at the helm. So I wouldn't be so certain the Packers have it in the bag yet.

Larry Fitzgerald was shut down by the 49ers, Rams and Lions. I like my chances. I'm a Rams fan, and I can't tell you who our starting corners are.... and I'm serious. Take away Larry's 100+ yard game against Minnesota's back up corners, and his yardage from the last five games looks something like this - 34, 22, 36, 48.

Dallas will be the first team to beat New Orleans - I was right.
Drew Brees will finish with 1 playoff victory in 8 seasons - I'll be right.
Dallas will be in the superbowl - I'll be right.
Kyle Orton will lead Denver to a better record than Jay Cutler and Chicago - I was right.

If you're depending on the victory, I understand.
But if you're depending on Fitzgerald getting 100 yards, he failed to do that even with Kurt Warner playing against SF/St. Louis/Detroit. Kurt Warner will play, but he's busted to hell, plus with Boldin being hurt, Larry Fitzgerald will be the key to success, and unless he learns how to run routes within the next few days, I seriously like my chances. The short crossing route won't do the job. The only worry I have, is that Doucet/Breaston will step up and have a big game.
