Infinity Engine - Madden RTP

Well as long as you watch out where you're running when you hit the holes you should be alright. I'm really looking forward to this addition because I believe it's going to benefit me more than some other players as I've always been the guy that holds off the sprint button until I see the hole and burst through it.

Obviously, I can't confirm because I don't have the game but I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say that this won't be fixed...

Real physics would dictate that Suh would toss this mo'fo all over the field like a rag doll. That is the physics I'm talking about. What EA is doing is a half assed work around that resembles what a true physics engine should do. They are using the term physics as a marketing buzzword because they know it sells to a certain segment of the market. They know full well that this system isn't a true physics system. The shortcomings are apparent when you watch that video from yesterday. It's just the old animations with a little adjustment to them. It won't be "every play is different" or whatever they are billing it as.

Yeah I'm even more impressed by the infinity engine. Everything in madden is no longer pre-determined. There is a suddenness to the game.

EDIT: 5:20 in that vid... wtf? lol. I think maybe it needs some more tuning?

Bigbucs - I don't care what EA says their engine does. All year long, they are blowing smoke up our ass to try and get our money. I watched the tech demo, I saw what it does. I've seen the gameplay videos. I don't believe for one second that weight or speed will matter when it comes to player contact.

LOL at about 6:10 when RG3 trucks Kenyon Coleman and he flies around like a ragdoll. Coleman is listed at 306 and Griffin at 220. Yeah, weight really matters in this infinity engine.

I like the direction but I'm sure it will be full of weird animations this year. Only because I prefer NCAA over NFL will I get NCAA FB and wait a month after release to get Madden, if the majority of people are still praising it.

:lol: I have played over 50 hours of FIFA 12 and those moments are FAR and few between. And when they do happen, they are actually quite hilarious, but they really don't happen that often.

If I do, it will be used and/or at a deeply discounted price. For instance, I bought Madden 12 this year only a couple of weeks ago when Mr Bill posted the $10 deal at Best Buy. The last one I played before that was M09. I've played all NCAA games up to NCAA 12. Only recently did I stop buying Madden and I probably will pass on NCAA this year. Before that, I had played Madden every year since Madden on Genesis when Season mode didn't exist or before the game had the NFLPA license and NCAA back when it was called Bill Walsh College Football. I've been playing Madden since before some of the kids that are playing Madden now even existed.

Anyways, I complain because I like football and I like video games, therefore I care to have a good football video game. Since EA football is my only choice, my options are play their game or not play at all. That's fucking Busch League, if you ask me.

While I agree the commentary is hardly perfect, it's 1000x ... better ... than ... Gus ... Johnson.

I usually play NCAA football with commentary off and just listen to stadium sounds, its pretty cool that way. Ive never tried it with madden for some reason.
