Fuck Tom Brady for many reasons.

1. he was never better than peyton manning
2. he has one of the greatest head coaches of all time
3. spygate
4. his spread offense cheese in the nfl
5. dump off passes
6. wes welker
7. his defense and coaching got him those rings that placed everyone on his dick in the first place.

Definitely a good and well thought out article by Deviant. I think within the next year or 2 we can dethrone him. And This is coming from me. I hate everything about Tom Brady an the Patriots. I hate them more than the Raiders and im a broncos fan

His raw numbers really weren't that "great"..until Moss came to town. You can't argue the results he got with those WR's(The Super Bowls) but his numbers weren't that "great". You also can't argue that the Pat's had some pretty damn good defense and special teams play those seasons that helped Brady out.

In 2 of the Pat's Super Bowl seasons Brady had a QB rating in the 80's. In 2003 he didn't even make the Pro Bowl.

I think people assume Brady has been putting up eye popping stats for years but in reality he has only thrown for 30TD's ONCE in his career. He's a very good QB but I think the Super Bowls he has won and media exposure has made him seem like more a statistical beast than he really is/was.

In response to the actual article... Dethrone him from what? I never thought he was the best QB in the NFL.

The only time i thought Tom Brady was the best QB in the game was when Peyton had the inability to win the big game.

Now that he has i dont see how anyone can have Brady higher than Manning unless your a Pats fan, and we all know how fans of Boston teams feel about their teams.

Probably should have clarified on the bold a bit more. After looking around at a lot of lists, seeing a lot of opinions, and listening to people, it seems as if most still see Tom Brady as a #1-#3 quarterback in the NFL. I'm not hating on the guy, I think he's phenomenal at what he does in the Patriots system because he clearly makes it work. However, there's no way (in my mind) that Brady's one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL today. Not too long ago, many had Brady and Manning as 1a/1b and people still try to find the Manning/Brady of this decade, but he's not that great of a quarterback to me. Then again, I guess he has been the second most successful quarterback of the decade.

I've been confused about all that for a little while.

Frankly, I think Brady was in a great system and had a good defense. This is the Matt Cassel argument... But, then, Cassel had Welker and Moss. But, then, Welker really wasn't any good before 2007. That goes back to the system... It's a quagmire. A rubik's cube.

Peyton calls his own plays... Allegedly.

Besides that, though, he's had Harrison, Wayne, and Clark... Really, though, we'll never know how good those guys are without him until they're without him. We've seen him throw multiple interceptions at least once when he was without them... Hmmm...

Last year the AFC East had the easiest schedule in the AFC. This year the AFC East had the toughest schedule in the AFC. Cassell would of done horrible if he was behind the line we had this year and played the defenses we played.

I'm not sure what's hard to understand about the post... his numbers were damn good for having such a lame supporting cast. No, his numbers weren't amazing until Moss and Welker but show me a QB who's put up those kind of numbers without a premier WR or two.
