It all started with Sanchez, when the Rams passed on him last April.

We drafted some fat black guy, who played in like 8 games. We gave up 44 sacks, which was like 3rd worst in the NFL. I can't wait until we draft Suh this year. He'll play in 8 games, and get half a sack.

IMO, when a team loses because of a kicker in a situation like that, it isn't the team, it's the kicker.

No one expected Kaeding to make the 57-yarder, but those other kicks were well within his range ... and the "team" put him in position to have those easy kicks.

I'm not saying a kicker has to be perfect, but Kaeding missing a 36-yd FG and a 40-yd FG is like a runningback holding a ball loosely. There's no excuse, other than a block or adverse weather conditions.

I am not knocking the Jets - they played great when it mattered - but San Diego's players shouldn't be called chokers when the only real reason they lost is because their kicker couldn't do his job.

Pro Bowl or not - given his playoff history - Kaeding would see a pink slip on his locker tomorrow if I was Norv Turner.

I understand that viewpoint, seriously, but those FGs should not have been missed. One, maybe ... two, no way. Like I wrote, the third miss (57 yards) completely understandable.

As for Norv Turner, not sure. Chargers always seem to start slow with him, but his W-L is impressive. Not sure who you could replace him with.

You forgot the forgot to mention the 2 interceptions Kaeding threw (including that real ugly pick Nate threw on his own 5 yard)... and his rush defence? Pathetic.

Rivers made mistakes, no doubt, but he put them in a position to win. The kicker didn't dunk the alley-oop passes.
I thought the rush D, save for the Greene TD and Jones' 4th down conversion, really wasn't that bad.
San Diego's D didn't lose that game.
You take that 53-yard run away from Greene, the Chargers did a great job stopping the Jets' run game IMO. And Sanchez only threw for 100 yards.
