So what explains him missing wide open guys throughout the first quarter? Was that on his knee too? Cutler has done this before in Denver when he got tired of getting hit and we had to watch Patrick Ramsey for a couple weeks basically kicking us out of the playoffs that year..

I believe NAHSTE already brought up how his dad actually went to the officials at Vandy to complain about how much his son was being hit (it's fucking Vandy what did you expect when you were going to be playing against SEC talent with borderline IVY League kids blocking for you?).

He cried his way out of Denver because his name got mentioned in a trade rumor, he has the worst body language of any QB in the league (always has), and when the pressure gets too hot he folds up like a Chinese hat.

He missed Hester wide open yesterday by a good 5 yards and threw up his arms toward the sideline to blame Devin. Same old Jay.

I personally find it shocking that Devin Hester would run a wrong route. He's always been known for his immaculate ability to learn and apply a playbook. He has always been a guy who has shown a deep knowledge of the nuances of the WR position.

What is your point? Were people giving Ryan credit for his performance and I missed it? Everyone knows Matty shit the bed two weeks ago. But people are acting like Hanie played the game of his life, simply because he sucked less than Todd Collins.

I want to see him keep playing like trash. For obvious reasons, I don't want Cutler to get better. I want him to get worse.

I also want Brian U to get old and decline in ability. Damn he's good.

1) I have no idea, but I surely didn't see anything about him coming out and defending his O-Line.. He just left his teammates under the bus.

2) It doesn't throw INTs but Cutler has shown that he is going to play his way no matter what anyone tries to tell him. He still thinks he can backpedal when he passes and be accurate every time. Sure, he's got a great arm, maybe it would be a little better if he would take the time to plant, aim and then throw. It's been an issue since he came into the league and he's done nothing to change it. And body language is a big deal from a QB, especially if he is supposed to be a star/leader of the team. And when you trade two first rounders for the guy, that's what he's supposed to be.

3) Has anyone come out and said Devin ran the wrong route besides the NFL insiders on VSN? He also missed Knox deep when he was wide open, had countless underthrows because of the aforementioned backpedaling and totally underthrew a deep ball that Tramon Williams picked off. Were those all on the wideouts too?

Fair enough on the first point. But to me it would make a big difference if he went begging to daddy to do it for him. Im sure well never know the truth to that one.

To each is own on the body language thing. I think his body language does not directly affect how he throws balls.

Well the VSN experts are usually right. But yes, he did put the ball where it needed to be on the Shields pick, he gets that blame, but hey, It might be ok for Jonny Knox to bail out his QB just once in his lifetime! And he missed Devin badly on the bomb. Im not saying he played good. Please dont think that. But he was a very big reason why the team was where they were.

I'm absolutely shocked that Collins wasn't cut in season after he threw 0 TDs and 5 INTs especially with Lefevour on the roster... He and Hanie at least had the ability to move the pocket a little, also where the hell were the bootlegs at yesterday? First of all their Cutler's bread and butter and second of all that O-Line seemed to be doing okay against the edge rush of the Packers and getting destroyed by guys coming through the middle. How does that adjustment not get made at some point during the game?

Whether or not Cutler was hurt, I think the bigger myth from that game is that Caleb Hanie played well. When he wasn't hitting DBs and DL in the numbers he was completing 1-yard dump passes to Forte. Sure he had some mobility and was light years better than Collins, and I get that we're judging him on the "3rd string player unexpectedly inserted into a big game" grading curve, but let's stop pretending he was Willie Beamen out there. It's not like he blew the game with two brutal giveaways or anything ... oh wait.

LOL come on.. the 3rd QB throws one TD, damn near threw another (down at the 1), and was helping the lead the team down the field to tie the game in the crunch (and with it being IN HIS HANDS, because the retarded coaching staff REFUSED to use the running game on that last drive). The BJ Raji pick wasnt pretty.. and he was unfortunately in a rushed 4th and 4 position just trying to make a play on his 2nd pick. All things considered he played pretty damn well and showed a lot of heart.

On a related note...in addition to the Bears coaching staff carrying the facade that Todd Collins is still an NFL QB by keeping him at #2, WTF were the Bears thinking by having Collins throw the ball on every down he was in the game?

Of all the ball bounces, injuries, things that the Bears couldn't really control...the insertion of and usage of Todd Collins in that game was one thing the Bears coaching staff could control, and they completely botched it.

Anyone who thinks that Lovie Smith is a great coach needs to get their head checked. The Bears overachieved this year, but it was a product of luck and health, not a product of great coaching.

As much of it was Cutler, I put a lot of it on the coaching as well.. If Taylor/Forte end that game with 50 touches combined, Chicago wins easily. Green Bay's defense was noticeably gassed in the second half and would have been even more-so had they been pounded by those two all game. The conditions and situation even called for it. Run the ball, play field position ball and let the defense that has carried you all the way here get you to the fourth quarter and run it down their throats. That's how you win those games.

The lack of use of the backs as well as their being no adjustment toward moving the pocket once it was clear they couldn't contain the pressure Capers was bringing up the middle was totally inexcusable.

Agreed, the coaching staff essentially helped ruin any chance we had, and even when we were in a position to tie the game STILL botched any chance we had. It was amazing that down to our 3rd string QB we were even still in the game, but the team was playing well enough to get it done, and had they let Hanie pick his spots, rather then putting it all in his hands on the last drive, or stupidly going with an end around in such a crucial spot, then it all might've ended differently. To have Hanie throw the ball 7 TIMES IN A ROW on the last drive is absolutely mind blowing, they had a ton of time to get down the field and score. Same with when Collins was in the game.. dont rely on that old sack of shit to try to make a play. And shame on Collins, the veteran that he is, for turtling up and playing like such a piece of trash in the clutch, he did everything he could to completely deflated the team, didnt even TRY to look inspired out there. What a travesty.

Thats what makes the game so damn bitter for me.. the whole damn team played their heart out and despite the terrible QB situation, the deflation of LOSING your starting QB, the incompetent of your coaching staff, and you still had a chance. Things just had to go moderately right and we'd be going to a SB right now, but it was, in essence, a completely disaster from the two of the most important aspects of the game, QBing, and coaching.

Can you imagine the legend of Hanie if they win that game? My lord..

Two crucial picks. One of them costing 7 points. I think he did well too for an emergency QB. He may make an OK backup, but I'm not sure I would want him as a number 2.
