I like Turner a lot, but Wall is on another level.

This season in college, I'd take Turner. If you are talking about a pro team drafting one of them, I would take Wall.

Both are great players, but drafting in the pros is all about future potential while this season is all about production.

Wall has more upside because of what exactly?? because he's a freshman? I do agree that your just scratching the surface with Wall and your maybe seeing 1/4 of what he will be if he continues to improve.

But why doesn't Turner have the same or maybe more upside than Wall?

Both have the potential to be a star IMO. Turner if he keeps this up can be a walking triple double on any given night. He can score, pass, rebound, can do it all on the court.

This is irrelevant to who's best but I went to look at NBADRAFT.NET and they compare Wall to Rose/Rondo. Who do they compare Turner to? Brandon Roy. I'd take Roy>Rose/Rondo but that's just me.

I think Turner, at the pro level, will be good, but will he be Brandon Roy? IMO, no. He is like...a slightly lesser version of Roy. Where does that get him? Unsure. But Wall has SUPERSTAR potential. You just don't pass that up.

As for Roy > Rose. Roy is also ahead of the curve, being older and in the environment longer...Rose though, if he peaks the way most think he'll peak...I don't think you'd say "Roy > Rose"...even Rondo (who I never thought would be this good) is starting to making a case as a Top 5 PG in the league.

The question that needs to be asked...what is Evan Turner's ceiling? I don't think it'd be Brandon Roy despite their similar games. JMO though.

No offense to Turner but swingmen and shooting guards are a dime a dozen. I'll always take the elite PG or Center prospect first

Then again 6'7 guys with the ability to run the point are pretty rare too.

Turner is by far the more polished player and Wall the more athletically explosive. IMO it's a really tough call because I don't see anything that says Turner is near his ceiling at all, same with Wall.

turner, right now you could plug him in 1-3 on a lot of teams, plus with his size if he develops on defense he could become a very versatile defender and offensive player, plus i think he has the same pg skills as wall if not better right now, and a 6'7 point guard spells disasters for the person defending him

Evan Turner is the better college player no doubt, Wall's game is better suited for the NBA where if teams double team him all night he's kicking the ball to open 3 point shooters.

I think both are allstar caliber NBA players though.
