Nah, I already did try to read your post. I got to the part where you directly compared losing a world series or two to a horrible tragedy, then I stopped.

Hes probably took/still is taking the death of that fan hard. He said he could hear the little boy crying for his daddy and I dont know about you but that would scar me for life add on the two world series losses and you have a pretty shitty 13 months.

I just read an article on ESPN saying the Rangers shouldn't negotiate his new contract based on this because of 'trust issues'. The man came clean immediately after. I think thats ridiculous.

I can't believe he sees playing in TWO World Series in TWO years, is some sort of huge downer and depressing moment in someone's life. Most players don't even get to play in a World Series their entire career. Shouldn't Hamilton look at reaching the World Series as an outstanding achievement that shows he has withstood his demons and past mistakes? It doesn't matter that they lost, it's still a great achievement that someone should be proud of.

And as retarded as saying playing in the world series is depressing is, it doesn't even compare to how stupid he has to be for comparing it to the depression involved with dealing with the death of another human being.

Back on topic, did anyone else watch the full press conference? It's hard to watch. Props to Hamilton for being so upfront but it's clear that he has a really loose handle on his addiction.

Apparently Kinsler didn't know he was drinking but was hanging out with him at the restaurant after. He dropped him back at home, only to have Hamilton walk right back to the same place and order a few more rounds.

The scariest part was:

"No drugs were taken. But you never know at what point that flip will switch. It could be the 3rd or 4th (drink), or it could the 15th."

His 'accountability partner' was hired as the Brewer's hitting coach in December. I assume he was replaced, with someone else.
