I will agree with that. I didn't think Ellsbury should win it, especially since the Red Sox fell off the face of the Earth in September. Yes, I do know that Ellsbury was one of the few players who kept playing well, but Verlander had an excellent season for Detroit, and out of him, Ellsbury and Bautista, we all know who made the playoffs, and who didn't.
If neither of those three teams made the playoffs, I would see the issue with Verlander being the MVP over Ellsbury. But I'm OK with it. .
