People think this is Madden, where you can just sign up the 77 OVR Collins to replace the 59 OVR Painter, stick him in the lineup, and you are automatically better. The real NFL doesn't work this way.
Painter knows the offense, Collins doesn't. Collins is 40 years old and presumably out of shape. Painter and the other backups have been building chemistry with the current WR's for a month.
They will have to dumb things down for Collins, he has no time to catch up. Plus, he isn't very good anyway.
Wouldn't shock me one bit if Collins doesn't even end up starting. Not a significant upgrade.
