As good as Lebron is he's on track to be a top 3 player all-time, assuming he continues to put up the kind of numbers he's been putting up for 6 or 7 more years. And i don't care what your list of top 3 all-time guys is right now, they all have more than 1 ring unless your really reaching for guys. So in the elite company that lebron gets constantly compared to, then yes 1 ring would be a disappointment.

I don't know what you were watching, but it's not as if Kobe was carrying Shaq's bags...........Kobe was an elite player during those title runs. The championships without Shaq has already proven his significance.

I'm not a Kobe fan by any stretch but he was averaging like 22/6 and 28/6 on some of those first Lakers titles. That's not a role player.

You could maybe argue the first one where Kobe was a 20/4/4 player in the playoffs that he wasn't true superstar in the league yet, but definitely not a role player. He was definitely emerging at the time and became a superstar in the years to come.

That was never a possibility, Hornets agreed to trade the pick to LA before the draft and LA only told them to draft Kobe right before Charlotte were on the clock.
