I think the fact that Kobe has so many titles, is the King of LA Sports, is older, was playing with a team somehow unable to gel, a coach who does not seem in charge...and yet here Kobe preached unity and intensity all season, even calling out Howard to play through the pain for THIS season..even inspired Meta to hyper rehab from injury just to get back in playing with his LEADER.

KOBE preached it, Kobe went down playing it.

Shit like this is why people hate Laker fans. KOBE preached his teammates to play defense and didn't bother to play any himself. KOBE preached they play like a team but he hogs the ball and ignores Dwight and Pau for most of the season while he jacks up contested 20 foot jumpers. KOBE preached they move the ball around and yet he wouldn't let Steve Nash run the offense. KOBE preached but he can preach all he wants but a lot of the issues for the Lakers were caused by Kobe.

Fuck Kobe and Fuck the Lakers.

Any word if the Lakers will look into using the amnesty on Kobe? He most likely won't play next year so getting 30 million off the books would be great for them to re-tool.

He plays through pain and somehow always comes back from injuries. Rose has been cleared to play for months now but he has chosen not to. He has also chosen not to make a statement saying that he isn't playing and instead keep everyone guessing. Kobe will be back as soon as he's cleared. He's not going to sit out more than he has to. He's a competitor and even after 5 titles he's still as hungry as ever.

Yeah I guess I'm just old enough to remember what a punk ass kid Kobe was. I've never really liked the guy (even more so than most Lakers). The amount of adulation that gets heaped on him here probably has a lot to do with it as well.

Any pro athlete who has to rape is the absolute worst. I'm not saying they don't, but Kobe Bryant did not rape that woman. He just didn't pay her.
 
I don't think he raped her. She was exposed in the trial as a gigantic slut, and iirc there was something like 6 or 7 different DNA samples from various men taken from the pair of panties she was wearing the day of the alleged rape.

I don't care about Kobe banging hoes on the road, I just don't understand why this injury is reason for prayer and so super sad.
