LeBron to make announcement at start of show?

An ESPN executive says LeBron James will announce his future NBA plans within the first 10 minutes of Thursday night's hourlong broadcast.

Norby Williamson, the cable network's vice president of production, says sportscaster Jim Gray, will handle the introduction, announcement and questions. Williamson says Gray was hand-picked by James' team, who approached the network last week about the special.

ESPN says Gray and James will be in one location. A person familiar with the plans, however, tells The Associated Press the interview will take place at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, Conn.

The broadcast also will include a long-form interview with ESPN personality Mike Wilbon and others via satellite from ESPN's studios in Bristol, Conn.

I went to bed last night and the Cavs were considered the favorites.

Woke up and the Heat have jumped in front thanks to the Bosh and Wade signing.

Went to the pool and came back and all of a sudden the Knicks are in front because the announcement is 10 minutes from the NYK practice facility.

Took a shower, got out, and its all Chicago because Lebron supposedly had his tax information forwarded to a Chicago address.

Quite frankly, I don't know what to believe anymore... I'm just gonna hope and pray that come 10PM Thursday night Lebron is still a Cav.

Last night I was convinced that he was resigning with Cleveland. Who the fuck knows where he's going now? My instinct is that he resigns but I can see him going to Chicago or NY. I still don't think he's going to Miami.

Wade played out of his mind VS Boston, while LBJ couldnt handle them.

Wherever LBJ goes im sure its not going to matter cause MIA is going to beat them everytime. Unless of course dude goes to MIA, which is the elast likely option IMO.

My money is on Chicago now. Who is CLE going to sign if lebron stays? Every big FA has signed already right?

If anything, it wasn't LBJ that couldn't handle them, it was the rest of the Cavs lineup, LBJ shut down Pierce while Rondo ate Mo Williams alive and KG absolutely manhandled Antwan Jamison.

I think LBJ is a great player probably best in the L right now. But this whole FA thing is out of hand now and this 1 hour show with a handpicked Gray is too much.

He wouldn't go through all of this to announce he was gonna sell out his hometown.
He just wants to come off as heroic when he announces he won't Art Modell Cleveland.

HAHAHA so LBJ when you write that the Cavs couldnt handle the Cs as a team then you write the team is fine are you saying you are OK with winning 60 games in the reg season and losing in playoffs?

If you think all Cavs need to do is run a faster offense then I want to know whos going to run it?

Also what was this whole FA off season about then if LBJ has all he needs to win in CLE?

Like i wrote before I hope LBJ does stay in CLE. But being consistent with everything he has been saying it looks like hes going to CHI. Also if he is staying didnt he screw himself by not signing earlier so CLE could try to get another player instead waiting til the last minute after everyone has signed?

If I was Lebron, I would say a supporting cast of Rose-Boozer-Noah > Bosh-Wade-scrubs. I dunno, thats just me though.
