So you point out the fact that Kobe "barely plays" in the 2nd half but yet plays in more 4th qtrs than Bron. Then did you check to see that maybe the reason Bron scores more in the 4th is because he shoots a higher percentage?

I also find it funny that you claim James "pads his stats" in the 4th over Kobe yet James out produces Kobe in pretty much every other quarter as well.

I like how people bring up 4th quarter stats this year with this debate while ignoring that Bron played in way fewer 4th quarters than Kobe because he was beating this shit out fo people in quarters 1-3 and didn't need to play the 4th. I think I recall a stretch in the early to mid part of the season where Bron didn't play in like 5 or 6 straight 4th quarters because the Cavs were dismantling people do badly.

Actually as typical Kobe vs most anyone debates go: Kobe guys make up shit ( 'Bron padding stats). Then are proved wrong. Yeah I was incorrect about something (Kobe having more 4th Qtr points) but I corrected for it and the stats show that 'Bron doesn't "pad his stats" in the 4th because he outproduces Kobe in every other quarter overall.

That is true, but its about preference. As I mentioned James is a great player, but I prefer Kobe over LeBron. At this point in his career LeBron can't touch Kobe's offensive repertoire. LeBron is a bull who is bigger, faster and stronger than everyone, which is great as well. I’ll give it to LeBron that IMO he is a more well rounded player and maybe a better leader, but I'm not sure how that could be proven. I could get into a discussion of how the triangle offense doesn't allow Kobe to average nearly a triple double, and you will rebuttal with the argument that the triangle offense due to how it isolates him makes Kobe’s job easier. We could go all day with that, which is why I’ll just say I prefer Kobe over LeBron.

In this discussion there is no way anyone can say that either is clearly better than the other, as it all is about opinion and preference.

So... Kevin Love...

I have always been a Wolves fan and I didn't like the draft trade for Love last year, but he won me over with his play this year. Too many people are saying "he must not be valuable because his team didn't win", yet everyone above him besides Rose and Beasley missed the playoffs and many guys had an even worse record. Gasol put up slightly better numbers in 5 minutes more per game, and he's 4 years older than Love.

I'm extremely optimistic about Love's future after this year because he keeps getting better and better.

Here's a comparison with Gasol, the following are averages for only games where the player played 30+ minutes (I calculated these using Yahoo game logs):

Gasol
Min: 35:21
Pts: 13.8
Reb: 8.6

Love
Min: 33:32
Pts: 16.8
Reb: 11.8

Points don't mean much. Gasol has Kobe on his team as well as Lamar Odom and several other players capable of scoring the ball. Gasol isn't needed to score every game, only games when other people on the team are doing bad.

Love is on a bad team only looking towards the future, I'm pretty sure they go into Love a lot more in certain games just to help him develop his game.

Rebound wise, of course Love is better, I'd take Love over a lot of big men rebounding wise. If Love was getting starter's minutes he'd probably average over 11.5 rebounds a game.

However, Gasol is easily the better overall player by a long shot.

I've watched almost every single Grizzlies games (and been to nearly half of them live), so I don't even see someone talking about Marc Gasol as relevant in this case.

Marc is what he is. He's a big body. Kevin Love is much more than that. Anyone who would take Marc over Kevin Love is simply going off of stats.
