Madden 10 Blog - Letting loose the wildcat

Man the only cheese play is going to be PA Jet sweep from these videos. You have Pat WHite, a fast QB, so many options. Lets see how the DBs and LBs react to having to defend WRs and what happens when a QB rolls out. I know in past maddens LB/DBs almost always gave to much of a cushion to the QB to allow for an 6-10 yrds.

Just wanted to throw this out there: You cannot audible out of Wildcat, and there will be two packages available for most teams with a different guy taking the snap for each.

The one thing I wanted in Madden 10 I got. The wait is fucking killing me. I wanted this before Saturday now with the addition of Pat White I'm fucking jonesing.

Its a shame for us die hard fans that the Dolphins will be the "it" team.

lol dolphins will not be the it team. Not sure why u keep saying that. Their playbook will probably be the it playbook tho. I really dont see the dolphins being as dominate as u say. unless the wildcat ends up being a cheesey formation then it will be dominate for any team that uses it.

Guys I don't think the Wildcat will be all that effective of an offense. It's in NCAA 09 with very similar play designs and it isn't all that effective even with 97+ Spd HBs playing the QB position.

Exactly. If I were getting Madden, the FIRST thing I would do is play as many people online as I possibly could in the first couple weeks and just use my regular offense against their "wildcat" and rack up the wins. I'd be extremely surprised if this went anywhere.

I'm sure there are people that will run the Wildcat as their fulltime offense because it would be the "cool" thing to do.

I'll probably use it the most near the goaline where it's hard to score. It'll be good if you can somehow trick your opponent to get the couple of yards that you need to score.

Yea and get different packages with it. At the Goalline get some power guys in their and at midfield you get your speed guys in their.

It's good being a Packers fan. They have to be the least cheesiest team in the game lol. Nobody ever complains when I pick them.

Anyways the Wildcat looks solid. Doesn't look too cheesy which is most important.

lol@good as your last game. U right, by the time u actually were able to beat me i had been done with madden for a few weeks . Ill play it all year like NCAA is the gameplay isnt sluggish. Havent decided if im gettin in any leagues or not tho.i may take a break depending on if the game is good or not. Bring those Vols too. I have to continue my dominance against u lol

No Audibles means no glitches.

It means no Ronnie Brown under center. Technically, it makes sense... there's no reason Ronnie Brown would have the knowledge to make those calls or run the offense after the ball is snapped anyways, even if he had the arm to do so. If audibles were possible, they would have to require the QB to move back under center, OR be very limited, as in only other wildcat plays.

I think just preventing them altogether was the right way to go for now.

Hell I didn't even have the game long. :tocktock: When we did play in 08, I won majority of the times. you might have beating me once? You haven't even been around long so get your facts straights. You can pretend to be all high and mighty cause these guys don't know you here, but you and I both know the facts.

When you have to self-proclaim yourself as a Top-10 player when no one else does, you aren't a top 10 player. :laugh:
