They are all new staff mostly with this connected careers era from what I see. The guys like dembroski and such, this is their first real mark on the game and what they've been doing since they got there.
Previously, I would say your 2nd point was right, adding a feature and taking it away and breaking it, etc etc. Yes that was always the case. Which is exactly why they did what many of us have requested they do, "rip it all out and build it proper" which is basically what they have done with CC, so they say. Going forward this should end this point because they've reiterated many times this was part of the point of CC, to overcome this problem.
I don't see the "tweet" stuff as useless. It adds immersion to the "management" aspects of Madden that have not been there before. When I'm at work and someone decides to go out and resign a guy, or make a trade, then on all our league players phones and on the website you'll see a faux NFL reporter talking about, I think that'll provide a cool factor rather than just reading it from some deep hidden menu of transaction history.
Yeah I get the people who want to do a fantasy draft are not happy it's gone. Having said that, it's obviously not a popular thing (EA likely has stats on it) and because of what was added it couldn't be included. I'll take what was added over the loss of a fantasy draft option any day. Then, as previously mentioned, they can put it back in properly with the new groundwork for career modes....should CC be as strong in foundation as claimed.
We know NCAA couldn't make it in, apparently almost did, which tells you it'll make M14. It's no sweat off my back, this was never an option for online play anyways.
We've needed the career modes overhauled for a decade with proper foundation and they've claimed to deliver it. EA Madden is mostly new staff (they've stated 75% +), they got rid of the dickbag Ian Cummings who was pretty fuckin clueless (Mr. "nobody wants real penalties and to play full games") as far as I was concerned and the long time idiot Phil Frazier (who under his watch gave us Championship rings/Player Weapon icons/half assed Online Franchise/no revamp of anything). I'd be willing to bet that the problems we've always had with Madden were tied into guys like this, especially Phil as he was in charge for quite some time, and now it all seems to have been addressed with them finally gone.
I'll give the new blood a chance because the offering sounds pretty good despite what else could be there.
