Is this all you have to talk about? I would think that you would be more likely to adapt people to your way of thinking if you changed your tactics just a little bit. My first suggestion would be to find some other things to talk about instead of just being a one trick pony and maybe you would be able to "corral" you some sheep up for whatever purpose you need them. btw, I didn't know this was an EA forum. Why so many EA nut huggers and box thinkers on this site? Just because they paid a shit ton of cash to lock up the NFL license, doesn't mean you have to accept everything they put out as gospel and be an EA apologist and blind supporter.

Sure this guy's shtick is tired, but why are some of you so distraught over his hate for EA's monopolistic ways?

I haven't really seen anyone disraught over his feelings towards EA, it's how he's going about it. I have read forums on the old MM board and this one here, and the bulk of the people that register and post on this site are far from EA apologists. Every Madden on the next gen console has been ripped to shreds. But some people look at this years installment, like what they see and post their feelings, then all of the sudden their EA fan boys? I don't understand why it's so wrong to like this game.

And as far as the puppet guy, I'll say it again. He is only doing this for attention. He probably pauses his Eagles franchise game on Madden 10 to post here and dick around with everybody. Nobody that talks like that is seriously trying to get any point across.

But the whole, "It's the only NFL game in town, so suck it up and deal with it" attitude is a very shallow way of looking at the whole situation and certainly doesn't help the movement towards competition in the videogame industry (or any industry for that matter). If you're just going to settle for something because it's the only game in town, why would that company feel a need to improve their product or service?!

I agree and I think most people that have played this game for the last five years would agree as well. Up until this year the developers have been very complacent and the game did not progress as it should from year to year. Not that I thought the games were horrendous, but I expected more after it moved to the next gen consoles. And the lack of competition IMO had a lot to do with it. But this year they took a bigger step forward than in years past, Does it excuse the last 5 years, no it doesn't. But I should be able to verbalize that without being called out as an EA fan boy.

Here are some more facts.

1. NFL 2K5 was great(and I was great in it) but APF 2K8 is better.( I don't play TARDchise)

2.I don't really care about the NFL license but if thats the only way to get a new game from Visual Concepts then so be it.

3. The only way for this to happen if Madden Bombs or atleast the cost of the exclusive outweighs the lack of sales and makes EA rethink spending that kind of money on the exclusive deal.

4. To make that happen, gamers must expose Madden as the trash heap it is. I am just one of many gamers who do this kiddos..

6. These kiddos were not around for the birth of online gaming and online leagues that 2K series brought to sports gamers. 2K/Sega brought a new era to the forefront..a new era of competition.
and 2K every year improved the game...something EA does not do.

7. So I love the 2K series because I was there kiddos......Seganet and Xbox Live.....You kiddos most likely WERE NOT!!

8. And for those who wanted to know my age....I'm 38 years old kiddos...and I started seriously sports gaming when I was in the military. All of would sit in the barracks, down beers, talk shit and have a good time. Sega Genesis and Dreamcast kiddos....Those were our consoles....Those are my consoles..So those are the sports games I adore. EA/Madden was always a joke(and still is). Its substandard in every way compared to Sega/2K Football who opted for more realism than arcade.

9. Now do you kiddos understand????? I want my game back. I love 2K Basketball but it's not the same, competition wise.... as football is it????
one more thing...I am in Iraq at the Moment but in January I will be back. Got to make that money kiddos...

For those of you who like EA football....You must not be into sim football online. You see kiddos Madden is for the pick up and play masses of moronic gamers who don't give a damn about or even care to learn the sport of football. Most Madden kiddies want to run Michael Vick, Bomb to Moss or Sack the QB with a user Dline(Dline Dummy)
