Imagine being one of my players during our film sessions :shot:

One of the key things they needed to add (and hopefully have) are the swat while tackling animations. For instance, a corner in man coverage against a slant needs to go for the tackle (head across the receivers chest) WHILE sticking a hand between the recievers hands/in front of the recevier.

They have.

Too often you're either forced to go for the swat, and give up 6, or go for the tackle and give up the reception.

They also need to add the "hammer" swat where a DB violently swats at the receivers hand on contact with the ball (downward) followed by trying to grab him by the legs for the tackle.

A lot of the new swat animations are setup to transition into tackles.

Separate issue, the zone blocking is way overdue to get overhauled. Considering it's the most common rushing scheme for the NFL and NCAA now it really should be implemented properly. This may be something that has yet to be released, since it is almost entirely blocking related (Double teams are key), but we'll see.

LBz looked long and hard at this. I, unfortunately, did not... I'm really not qualified to look at it from a technical standpoint. I don't know zone running well.

Korn, I gotta question. What would happen to the tournament scene when it was found out that there was no glitches or exploits? Would it level the playing field off a lot more so more people could contend as opposed to people who just lab exploits because they have the time to do so?

Maybe weed out a few guys and infuse some more. But I don't think there'd be a whole lot of changes. Stick skill will always seperate people, along with execution of offense. There will always be offensive schemes. Believe it or not most tourny guys would Iove a clean game that just involved stick skills and reads..not exploits or gimmicks.

There would be a lot more guys playing in these kinds of tournaments. Krul would probably be there, a few other guys. It'd make watching that shit on tv a lot more interesting.

Krul aint that good at madden lol.

Can look at when the game 1st comes out every year. Everyone is pretty much on the same level playing field and there are a lot more close matchups. Its when all the gimmicks come out people start pulling ahead.

Madden09 anyone could be good and compete with tourny dudes because if you can run fb dive and throw a manual curl route. That's what made the madden challenge finals boring. Madden NAtion no one really knows any true gimmicks because the game just cane out.
