Marshall being targeted for Trade

Despite denials, Broncos trying to trade wide receiver Marshall

Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said Sunday that his team isn't going to trade wide receiver Brandon Marshall(notes). But the word is that the team is trying to deal him and would love to get rid of him. He hasn't exactly been Mr. Sunshine in the locker room lately, which has not surprisingly helped his chances of being traded.

Remember that McDaniels said earlier this year that the team wouldn't trade quarterback Jay Cutler(notes) and then they ditched Cutler off to the Chicago Bears.

What isn't clear is how many teams are in on the Marshall talks. Some say there a bunch of teams talking to the Broncos but there are others who believe that not too many want to bring Marshall's immaturity into the locker room.

No doubt plenty of teams would like his 12.2 yards per reception average from last year, though.

See his true potential? Did we not see a glimpse of it last season? With a good QB we've seen what Marshall has to offer. I would love to see Marshall in Balitmore, but he's like one screw up from a long suspension and couple that with the fact that he wants a big contract he might be too much of a risk. IMO Marshall has a few screws loose and his actions right now solidify that belief.

He'll get traded but the type of contract would be short and sweet. I honestly think Micky Danny (coach) is rubbing some people there the wrong way. Micky Danny needs to understand that he isnt in New England with Belicheat backing him up anymore.

the bills gave t.o. a one year deal and he was a free agent so it didnt cost them a player to check it out. one of marshall's issues, besides being a bitch made punk, is that he wants a long term deal, so a short and sweet contract wont make his sandy vag smooth again.

None of those guys look like HOF guys to me to be honest. It's way too early to make that call on Marshall though. Boldin has an outside shot if he wears a ring. Even then.. I don't see it.
