I like MVC3 a lot but really dislike X Factor.

I was at a tournament for fighthing games and a lot of people agreed with each other about it. They liked playing MK9, Blaze Blue CS, Tekken 6, SSFV AE.

I think I'll pick up SSFV soon enough.

You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who DIDN'T dislike X-factor.

The problem is that it was supposed to be used as a comeback feature, but it winded up easily become exploited to just rape everyone. The new game is gonna nerf x-factor from the look of the videos.

In one of the recent CAGcasts all three of them were talking about how much they despise Capcom, mostly because of this particular practice.

Well you can trade in vanilla MVC3 and knock a few dollars off. I did that for SSFIV and it was like 20ish

I think it's hitting retail mostly because of Jill and Shuma not selling as well as they thought. Who's surprised though? I don't expect casual people to know who-tf Jill and Shuma are, nor care enough to slap down 5 dollars for each of them.


Most people I talk to feel like this is a dick move by capcom to re-release this WITHIN THE SAME YEAR as Vanilla Marvel, but I love my fighting games, and this is gonna get massive amounts of play from me.

Strider coming back is a MAJOR plus and Frank West/Phoenix Wright are going to get the fans in a tizzy.

Shit, they already had Wright in the MUGEN PC games.

As for Marvel, Hawkeye should come with a Bullseye variant, that way you can roll with a Deadpool/Taskmaster/Hawkeye-Bullseye team and go nuts.

Iron Fist is good shit too for fans of lesser known Marvel dudes that kick ass.

I was a HUGE supporter of this game when it was announced, and despite x-factor bullshit online, Ive still supported this game...

it's barely been 6 months and NOW ur gonna announce an upgrade, NOT as DLC mind you, but as a $40 retail game

Mortal Kombat charges $5 a character as DLC but it doesnt force u to buy it, even giving u free skins with compatability packs, The MK online community stays intact whether u buy the DLC or not

UMVC3 will kill the MVC3 community less than a year after the game released, FUK U Capcom

Also, A very famous leaker had already leaked that a "Updated MVC3" was in the works like months ago. To most members of the fighting game community, this is hardly new news: The leaked characters are. Some people actually typed in random people, fishing for images, and that's how all of the people were found. Lawlz.

As far as "how many different versions of street fighter are there?" There's 3 versions of Street Fighter 4 (Vanilla, Super, AE), 2 versions of 3rd strike (Original and Online Edition), Millions of versions of street fighter 2.

While I believe UMVC3 is coming way earlier than need be, this isn't gonna do shit to the fighting game community.

as for killing the community, youre telling me that current MVC3 players WONT jump ship in Masse to the Newer,upgraded version of the game that theyve been playing for 6 months? that a large percentage wont Leave the MVC3 community to support/create the Ultimate MVC3 community? There is a newer/fixed version of the game youve been playing, as with the SFIV community ..the players will leave the vanilla version to graduate to the new version...

UMVC3 will be accepted as the new "norm". It's not like there's a "MVC3" community and the "UMVC3" community. There will be the "MVC3" community that decides to play "UMVC3" community. Nothing more, nothing less.

If I see myself playing the game for competition, I will play it. If I think I can win any amount of money in it, I'll probably get it. No problems here.
