Melo breaking into the top 3?

i didnt know 1 series makes a player. So why are putting wade in this discussion sicne he was outed the first round? Im asking a serious question, how as melos D and passing during the regualr season? I never heard anything about him having nice D or invloving players at all during the reg season. I heard about him scoring 35 in 1 qrtr. I heard Billups being the leader.

How does Wade relate to Mello playing defense even in the slightest?

The guy averages 3.4 assists a game.. its not great but hes not a ball handler so thats pretty decent. I already said Mello's defense is a matter of will. When hes willing to play it it can be very good. But he tends to be lazy on defense at times.. hopefully these playoffs will turn him into a fixtures on defense permanently, cause hes been doing a phenomenal job in the playoffs.

If I was building a team for the next 10+ years I'd definitely take Durant over Kobe.

Melo isn't the defender LeBron, Wade, Kobe or CP is. He's improved, definitely in the best shape of his life and is awesome on offense.

If I'm building a team right this minute I'd go:

1. LeBron - should be obvious.
2. CP - a point who can score, distribute, defend and well under 30.
3. D12 - best center in the game - centers win titles (I know he hasn't, yet)
4. Melo 4A. Durant - I can go either way, here.
5. Wade - should be #2 but too injury prone.

Kobe is too old for me to start a team with right now...that's old in basketball experience - lotta miles on that odometer.

if the team goes deep, it will be because of chauncey. the nuggets are 8-5 in the 13 games that anthony has missed this season, and that's with stephen graham replacing him and doing very little. the nugs are 3-6 this season when chauncey didn't play, and that's with ty lawson replacing him and having some very good games

how could you possibly argue melo over durant at this point? we're talking about a 21-year-old in his third season and has made huge leaps in a short time and a 25-year-old in his seventh season who we're still asking "if" and "when" he's going to join the elite on more than just a marketing level
