So I can run this with everything on high except the SSAA and Advanced Physics has to be off. Turning the physics off sucks but apparently it is a designer issue. I have read people with GTX 780 cards having to turn it off as well. The advanced physics are awesome when they are on...not sure what the problem is. if I turn it on at certain points the game drops to single digit FPS.

I am getting 50+ FPS consistently with the GTX 760..if I turn SSAA just to 2X it drops to the 30s...so I just keep it off. To be honest though is easily one of the best looking games on PC.

Metro can easily be on this list below of great looking PC games.

my understanding from what i read is that its all about your ram and cpu. i would assume his is really good, so maybe its his setting

i was able to turn on advances physics, tessalation to very high, texture filter to AF16 and keep is still at 50-60 fps. once i turned on SSAA to 2x is dropped to 40 and anything more put it down to 20 fps. even at 2x and 40fps is wasnt something i would want to play.

honestly, though, is any of that needed? its to much graphics. to many shadows and perfect detail. walking along seeing shadows of spider webs and shit. idk, i turn blur and bloom off in every game cause its just to much

btw, can anyone tell me where i am supposed to go from the point in spoilers?

 

just after i rescue the russian early on, both of us head outside and see this crashed plane. then head down in the subways for a few minutes, then he tells me to find the path out. i cant figure out where to go and i just use up my air filters and die lookign

I honestly baffled on how you can turn all those setting up and get 50-60 FPS...My GTX 760/8 GB Ram/i5 4670K can't do that.

Tessellation in it basic explanation is like cutting up polygons into millions of smaller pieces in order to make a smoother and more realistic object. The more you cut it up the more detail and more rounded objects will look.

Well I turned on the advanced physics on and turned motion blur down and i am getting 50-60 fps. The advanced physics are sweet...everything in the environment moves much more realistic and smooth.

i never liked blur. makes me think im lagging.

here is the video. i ran with everything as high as possible, except low blur and then i did SSAA 2x, (40fps), 4X (20 fps) and SSAA off at 60fps.
