The Chicago Sun-Times expects the four-year, $32 million deal signed by Marshawn Lynch to be the "floor" in extension talks between the Bears and Matt Forte.
Lynch's deal included $18 million guaranteed, and Forte would stand to make roughly $17 million the next two seasons if franchised again in 2013. The surprisingly reasonable extension signed by Arian Foster (five years, $43.5 million, $20.75 million guaranteed) could help spur talks between the sides. GM Phil Emery said Friday it is the team's intention to keep Forte "in 2012 and beyond."
