Again, a lot of you guys are playing Madden in your head instead of actual football. I cannot believe some of you are saying Vick would really open up the passing game for any team. Vick wasn't able to open up the passing game in any way when he was playing for 6 straight years in Atlanta. But now that he has been in prison for 2 years, you expect him to do it consistently?

I've heard some speculation about this and as a Vikes fan, I feel it would be a good move. Minnesota's VERY weak at quarterback, but they have fast receivers. Vick is a faster Tavaris Jackson with a stronger arm and better accuracy. The only downsides I could see are as follows:

1.) He may be out of shape.
2.) His trouble with the law could hurt attendance and maybe the locker room.
3.) He will take runs away from AP.

Just my opinion, let me know what you think.

I understand TJ isn't quite a godsend, but he threw nine TDs and two picks last year. Over the course of his career, he's gotten a lot better. His first year, he didn't play much... In his second year, he averaged 6.5 Y/A throwing, with 9 TDs and 12 INTs... His completion percentage has gotten better every year.

I really don't think that there would be an attendance drop at all to be honest. You really think anybody is going to sit at home instead of go to an NFL game because of Mike Vick? The only backlash we will see is from PETA from people who probably never have been to a football game in the first place. Did we see any drop in attendance when pacman, tank, or chris henry came back? No.

I really think Vick would do best in Carolina. They have a strong running game and he can come in and provide something different than Delhomme for a few plays a game. Plus, they have pretty solidified coach (although Fox always seems to be on the hot seat), who can hopefully keep him in check.

Anyone thinking he will come in and be a starter before week 8 is delusional. He has been out far too long for that to happen. But he should definitely try to be a spell QB and just get a few plays a game.

No one is saying it is. People are just saying that the Vikings need to open up the passing game, which is something Vick cannot do. If I'm looking for a 3rd Down back who is a receiving threat, I'm not going to bring in Ron Dayne.

If i'm the team signing him this year, I use him to:

1.) Return punts, when opposing team is punting "long"
2.) 2-5 gadget plays per game. Wildcat, double reverse stuff, whatever.
3.) Behind C from shotgun inside the 20, specifically on 3rd & long or goal to go
4.) Slot WR as an occasional decoy

I would classify him as a WR, and name him the emergency/#3 QB to save a roster spot.

For Vicks sake I hope he ends up in San Fran. Like an earlier post said Singletary doesn't put up with bs. He'd probably be a pretty solid guy for Vick to take advice from. In terms of who I THINK he'll end up playing for, I kind of like the Carolina idea with the good running game.
