On more than one occasion this season, Titans owner Bud Adams has made it clear he's not happy with the direction of his team.
But that won't stop him from bringing back coach Mike Munchak for another season, and according to the Tennessean, that's exactly what Adams has done.
After a 51-20 loss to the Bears, Adams said, “In my 50 years of owning an NFL franchise, I am at a loss to recall a regular-season home game that was such a disappointment for myself and fans of the Titans.” A few weeks after that, he had to turn off the TV while watching the Packers pound Tennessee because he couldn't bear to watch that “mess” any longer.
“I like Mike, I really do. But liking him and getting the job done are two different things,” Adams said after that 55-7 disappointment. “If he is not getting the job done, that is what I have to find out. Right now, we are not looking very good. Something is wrong and I want to find out what the problem is and what needs to be done to fix it.”
Already, Munchak has fired offensive coordinator Chris Palmer, and it seems like defensive coordinator Jerry Gray might be on his way out as well. Adams also told the newspaper he plans to relieve front office executive Mike Reinfeldt of his duties.
But for now Munchak is safe.
“These are tough times to go through when things aren't going your way and you're not getting breaks the way you hoped,” Munchak said earlier this month. “I think this group will grow because of it and be a better team because of what they're going through.”

Seems like no one else will survive, but at least Munchak did.
