The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed C Jay McClement to a two-year deal worth $3 million.
The 29-year-old McClement recorded 10 goals and 17 points in 80 games with the Colorado Avalanche last season. Through seven NHL seasons, McClement has recorded 63 goals and 177 points with Colorado and the St. Louis Blues.
The Leafs also signed restricted free agent forward Matt Frattin to a two-year contract, and forward Ryan Hamilton and G Jussi Rynnas to one-year deals.
Frattin split the year with the Maple Leafs and Marlies of the AHL. Frattin played 56 games with the big club, recording eight goals and 15 points. He will make $850,000 per year on a one-way contract.
Hamilton played two games with the Leafs last season, picking up an assist.
Rynnas, 25, spent time in the ECHL and AHL but also played two games with the Leafs in 2011-12.
Hamilton and Rynnas were each given two-way deals.
