yeah i picked it up last night during the midnight release of halo wars

i was the lone mlb the show buyer.....
i didnt do much other then setup my game options and create a custom songlist. Then i added a few songs as player walk up music just to see whats what.....it was cool when sizemore came up and i heard its so easy jamming as he strolls to the plate.
played on all star with no slider tweaks. Sizemore led off with a HR, but it was all down hill from there. Cliff Lee got rocked and i lost 9-2.
the demo doesnt do justice to this game. It looks alot better then the demo. More crisp and clean looking. The progressive lighting is awesome and a welcome addition to the game. The gameplay itself is basically the same as last year, but you notice the new animations and field changes right away. Players take a more realistic route to the ball. I also got caught in a risk vs reward scenerio when i attempted to dive at a ball hit to RF. Well i chose to dive for the catch and missed, turning a single into a triple.
the hitting seems to be more of a challenge this year. Hard to say after 1 game, so i wont really comment on this. Now the pitching was very difficult for me. I was cruising for 3 innings, then i think the CPU caught on to my pattern of pitching and started to jump all over me. it didnt end well.
Its hard to believe that sony could take what i feel was the greatest sports game ever and make it better. Well it is easy to see that they did with 09. 2008 was a amazing game, but 2009 is better already. I cant wait to play franchise and RTTS
