Anything else: I loved baseball when I was a kid. I was a really good pitcher growing up and I honestly thought I had a chance to play baseball in college and perhaps professionally if I worked hard enough. Then, when I hit 16-17, something happened to my arm and I lost my control Ankiel/Mark Wohlers style, and quit playing. Ever since then, I haven't really followed baseball that closely.

Favorite current players: Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera
Fav all-time players: Joe DiMaggio, Paul O'Neil, Don Mattingly, Dave Winfield
Anything else: I used to go to Yankees spring training every year from 1978-1995 (except 1992). My grandmother still has her condo 5 minutes from that stadium, but that's where the Orioles have their spring training now.

I met DiMaggio when I was 6 or 7.

The guys been playing for two decades. It doesn't matter if the player is still active, hes in the 600 HR club, 5th in all time leaders. Aside from all that, he was one of the best CF till he ran into injury problems, CFs now grew up watchin his play to learn. And he's got the sweetest swing bar none. Name me one player that has a better swing than Griffey. Absolutely effortless and still driving the ball deep, amazing.

Favorite Current MLB Player(s): Derek Jeter - He's simply a class act. Could not ask for a better solid ball player / all around role model of a person to lead the Yankees. Nick Swisher - A breath of fresh air on a Yankee team that has always come off as too uptight as far as I can remember. I don't remember anything with as much raw enthusiasm being on the Yanks for better or worse since Paul O'Neil. He absolutely loves the game and it shows.
Favorite All-Time MLB Player(s): I was a kid, but in my house, Donnie "Baseball" Mattingly was idolized. Because of my upbringing, he will be the best first baseman ever in my eyes, lol.
Anything Else: Can't stand any of the hardcore met fans I know in person.
