Ugh, that game was brutal for a Phils fan. From a Phillies offense that the last two games can't hit water from a boat, to Sandoval smacking the crap out of them in retribution for not making the all-star game, just tough.

We'll see what happens with Lee on the mound tonight, but Jesus, if you can't put the bat on the ball, you're still going to be screwed.

i sat next to a phillies fan at the game, good guy, you guys are some of the most knowledgeable fans ive seen

but onto baseball, the thing that propelled us in that game was capitalizing on errors late in our batting order by coming through with big hits at the top of the batting order, if velez plays like that weel be tough to stop, but hes a real streaky player and cant do that for much longer, which is why im so excited to get freddy sanchez to play in the 2 hole

Guys like Omar Vizquel are amazing too me. That guy is getting way up there age wise but can still swing the bat and more importantly is still great in the field. Hard work paying off.

Do Boston fans really have that high of hopes for Buchholz from a logical sense? I mean, I know he has a lot of trade value, but what has he done, really? Just curious.

Phils dropped the series to the Giants. Irritating. I have to say though, watching tim lincecum pitch last night was pretty amazing. I'd kill to have a 25 year old that can throw like that. The kid is unbelieveable. Joe Blanton pitched solid as always, but if you can't hit the opposing pitcher...what are you gonna do?

Tonights game was just gut-wrenching. Cole Hamels has been my favorite player for a couple of years now, and god damn if this year hasn't be tough to watch. For every few good games he throws, he throws a total steamer. I can't figure him out. I don't like all of the excuses made for him, but something has to be wrong. It's not like he's Kyle Kendrick and guys have "figured him out" or anything. I'm nervous at the number of Phillie fans that say that Hamels will just "turn it on" in the postseason. I sure hope that he does, but it always seems like that's a scary outlook.

No. No we do not. And really whats left of his trade value doesn't really matter anymore.

He threw a no-hitter and its been downhill from there.
