No chance they call up Rendon even if Zimmerman goes on the DL. They’d likely call up Will Rhymes and have him split time at 3rd base with Chad Tracy. What I would do is bring up Jeff Kobernus to be the utility infielder and move Lombardozzi to the 3rd base platoon

Reports are coming out the Zimm is headed to the DL and Rendon will be called up as soon as he meets the time in the minors requirement.

Best news ever. He's gonna rake and then they'll have no choice but to put him at 2nd Base.

In other lineup news, Roenicke flipped Alex Gonzalez and Yuniesky Betancourt’s positions on Sunday, moving Betancourt to third base and Gonzalez back to first, where he played most of the spring before moving to third when Aramis Ramirez was injured.

“I’m seeing if maybe that gets him swinging the bat a little bit better,” Roenicke said of Gonzalez, who entered the day batting .136 with four RBIs. “He’s frustrated about it, but we need to get him going.”
