Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that the Doyers have played three games before 27 teams have played one?

Not as weird as spending a quarter billion dollars on 25 baseball players and needing to use Chris Perez and Brian Wilson just to get through the 8th inning.

Opening day and the flu is going around among the Mets, Daniel Murphy is out to be with his wife as she's about to give birth and Chris Young is out because of a quad strain.

Braves have been shut out in 5 of the last 7 games vs Milwaukee dating back to last year. Not sure batting BJ Upton 2nd is going to help reverse that trend, Fredi.

Aaron Barrett with his first career win in his first major league appearance. Struck out two and didn't allow a baserunner in an 11-pitch ninth inning.

Ugly win by the Cards today, but I'll certainly take it.

Johnson got the saves, but last year kept leaving the fastball up and the sinker hung more than usual. He went through a dreadful stretch in June but still finished with respectable numbers. It seems those problems creeped up pretty quickly again.

Wind was blowing in most of the day, so it was a pretty good shot when you factor that in. Nothing to get too excited about, except it was the game winning run on Opening Day.

You don't see why Braun is not like every other player and does not deserve the same treatment. That's the problem.
