Campaign on Veteran is easy but I get impatient and get myself killed, only to do it all over again. Ugh.

If there's anything I learned from Veteran in COD it's that you have to cover, pop up, kill, advance as quickly as possible before enemies keep respawning over and over again. Shit was frustrating in Black Ops, but it's definitely possible. Just can get quite frustrating at times.

22% in SP and the it is > BF3. The story experience is better than BF3 and you don't have to wait on some weird save times, trying to figure out of the game froze or if its saving. Hopefully get a full night of gaming tonight and finish this and jump on MP.

I think the "experts" analysts might have seriously underestimated things when they said that this game would double the sales of Bf3. I don't know about anyone else but I stopped in my Best Buy yesterday to return something and there was a line of about 20 people to pick their pre-order copies...at 5PM. I don't think there was an actual copy of the game on the shelves either. And forget about finding a Hardened Edition anywhere. Most stores would just laugh at you if you asked. I had second thoughts for my wife's copy because I know she will end up getting all the DLC like she always does. I figured it would be no problem getting a HE yesterday. Wrong.

So funny. Like I said, I haven't even played the campaign of Bf3 yet except for the first chapter. I actually complained about how overly difficult it is. I honestly don't know how Brnt played through on Hard. He must have 1337 skillz. I wouldn't be surprised if DICE made the campaign so difficult just to make it seem that it is longer than it actually is. Just like how Maynard shaves off all his pubes so his 3" dick looks bigger to his boyfriend.

so the lines have been forming since 6 pm. My girlfriend works next to a gamestop and the line started at 6 and already goes way down the strip mall and around the corner. easily 500 people in line by 8 pm

the city i live in has 4 gamestops. 1 in the mall and 1 outside the mall. My girlfriends daughter is in line with her boyfriend. They been waiting since 730 and the store is expecting 1000 people inside the mall.

the store right by my house is less than 2 minutes away. I have a preorder there....its another strip mall and i just got back and there are cops there and a line that spans about a quarter mile around the building.

if i end up buying it, then it looks like i will be waiting until tomorrow

Bought mine at Kmart on my way to work Tues afternoon around 2pm. Not a soul around and lots of copies. Used a 20 dollar coupon that I got when I bought UC3 and in return I received another gaming coupon for 15 bucks.

SP comparisons for MP-centric FPS titles... :smh:

MW3 > BF3 IMO if only because you're playing a Michael Bay movie on steroids, speed and a mountain of cocaine.

The MP is basically the same thing you'd expect since MW2... perks, gear, guns, with improvements in each as you play.

I dig that you now have to use your favorite guns on a consistent basis to upgrade them as well instead of having to dump money into them; it's as close to mirroring having experience with one gun or another as you can get with a game like this.

Hopefully the AIMBots and Glitchers won't ruin this before the week's up so folks can enjoy the game.

...or at least until the YouTube exploit vids hit. :shifty:

See, I like the cash system, because you can start with whatever you want on the gun and your equipment. But to each their own, though I can tell already that I am only going to use a small amount of weapons due to this system.

As far as the single player, about five or six hours for me. It got too late last night and I finished it this morning. All in all, a good time.

It's kind of hard to "bitch" about something when it hasn't been experienced. I was speculating, using my experience with the previous MW games to hypothesize. MW1 was what, six hours tops? MW2 was barely four hours. So one could reasonably deduce that this game will be damn short as well.

I would have finished it quicker too, but a roommate overwrote my save so I had to play one of the longer missions over again.

I want to play this to complete what sounds like from brief reviews I've read, the MW "trilogy", but I just can't justify it because I don't like the multiplayer that much (and $60 bucks is too much right now with other shit out there).

Perhaps I shall give it a rent since I can probably beat it in an evening/2 evenings.

Love the survival mode. You can quickly lose 30-40min in one playthrough. The fact that you can play on all of the multiplayer levels. It keeps it fresh.
