As of September 16th 2009. This is my list of the 10 best Quarterbacks in the NFL.
This list is my opinion. Mine. The reasoning behind my list making logic is broken down into 3 factors - ''What if,'' ''Make believe,'' and ''Idiocy.'' I'm one of the few people to realize that posting a complete load of nonsense here at VSN, is the way to go.
Some of you will disagree with my list. Some may even laugh at it. Some of you may think that I know nothing about football after reading it, but if these guys played for New England, they would all be top 10 caliber quarterbacks, and here in fantasy land, that's what matters.
Well... here goes nothing.
10. Trent Edwards/Bills - He hasn't had a winning season yet, but stick him in New England, and you'd see a completely different player.
9. Derek Anderson/Browns - This guy is probably one of the most ignorant quarterbacks in the NFL. He has zero self esteem, and about as much talent as myself back when I threw the pigskin around. Then again, stick him in New England, and he'd have 3 rings.
8. Matt Ryan/Falcons - I know what you're thinking.. He's a second year guy, right? Doesn't matter.. Stick him in New England, and he'd have 3 rings by now.
7. Matt Cassel/Chiefs - 2nd year starter, but if he played for New England, they would have won the superbowl last season, for sure.
6. Matt Schaub/Texans - Injury issues plague Schaub, but in New England, that wouldn't matter.
5. Jason Campbell/Redskins - I know he's black, but even New England could make him a winner.
4. Vince Young/Titans - So much potential gone to waste. Has the mental capacity of a 5 year old, but in New England's system, he'd flourish. I won't go as far as saying he'd have 3 rings, though.. 2 max.
3. Jay Cutler/Bears - Terrible leader, plays the game for himself, but luckily in New England, that doesn't come into play. I mean, hell, even Tom Brady won superbowls there.
2. Carson Palmer/Bengals - One of the most underachieving quarterbacks in the NFL. He's currently 0-5 in his last 5 starts. Carson Palmer has had some of the worst performances of all-time, but it's clearly the organizations fault.. Hell, if Cincinnati had held Denver to under 12 points, Carson Palmer would be 1-0 right now. There goes Cincinnati holding him back again.
1. Drew Brees/Saints - 1 playoff victory in 7 seasons... 1-22 record as the saints starter when trailing after the 3rd quarter, even worse than Tony Romo who sits at 5-9. Yes, he did throw 7 interceptions in 3 highly important games last season, with the division and playoffs on the line. It's not like Matt Ryan was able to lead Atlanta to the playoffs, who was considered the worst team in the NFL. If you put Drew Brees in New England, he'd clearly be the #1 quarterback in the NFL, and would probably have 3 superbowl rings right now.
I'm almost sad Ryan Leaf quit so soon.. He could have kept going, because if he had played for New England, he'd have 3 superbowl rings right now. Where's Tim Couch?
Let the hating begin.
