Moss or TO?

Just to be clear, I think Moss is a better reciever. But that wasn't the question. The question was who would I want to play on my team.

I honestly wouldn't want either player, but if I had to pick one, I would take TO. Owens might mouth off after a game and divide a locker room, but you never saw him take a play off and had a great work ethic.

TO earns a lot of respect for playing in that Super Bowl with the injury, but Moss is just plain one of the all-time best wideouts.

As is T.O. How is he not considered an ATG? He was pretty much unstoppable at his peak and thrived no matter where he went.

This. Owens always ran good routes and knew that his hands were bad- there are reports of him working after practices at each of his stops just catching footballs out of the machine. He was also a damn good blocker, right below Hines Ward on that level.

I also want to add, how much of the Eagles blowup of 2005 do we want to put on Owens after seeing Donovan McNabb in Washington last season? Just proved that he wasn't the saint some thought him to be. I am not defending Owens much, just throwing that out there to see what others think.

Even when it was happening there were whispers about how much blame McNabb should of taken for that situation. Not to excuse TO's behavior, but at least here in Philly McNabb has been called into question for his role.

I don't think T.O. gets enough credit. I believe he is underrated a little bit. I think it's closer than people think. For everybody saying how Moss had that unbelievable year with the Patriots, do you remember who his quarterback was? And if I recall correctly that QB set a record for TD passes as well.

To be honest I voted for Owens based on the fact that it should be closer than it is. But I would probably take Moss over Owens in general.

If it was today I would take Owens because I still think he can play very well.

So no its not close. Theres no question TO was a TD machine and "one of the best of his era"...Moss is the best pure WR ever and 2nd or 3rd best all time.
George , Culpepper , Cunningham ,Collins ,Walter ??? Those are the guys you see sitting in FA every off season in Madden.

Owens had the no.2 and no.3 all time passer ratings throwing to him for about half his career.

Im not a stat whore nor do I play the "if they switched roles" but this ridiculous notion that Moss had any benefit or that is "alot closer than it looks" is preposterous.

I dont buy that Owens can still play, because he'd be on a team right now if that was the case.

This is a league where everyone gets plenty of chances to prove they can't play anymore, from washouts like Donovan McNabb to criminals like Pacman Jones. If Owens had anything left, somebody would have taken a chance on him when it was clear he wanted to play pretty badly. He's done.

Moss was the more talented player, but he had his moments where he didn't even put forth an effort and seemed to be a bad locker room guy. TO had his problems in the locker room, but he always put forth the effort. If I was voting based on who was the better player I'd take Moss. However, I'd probably take TO so as long as I had a good QB and good leadership.

According to Rotoworld the other day Moss has had calls about coming back this season meanwhile TO has had none.
