This thread ended when you put that. :smh:
I played 2k8 for a good year and a half, but this Madden blows that game out of the water with playability. I wonder, do you even play that game live anymore? Do you even know how broken that game is?
Playability? I'm talking about realism here. IMO a game isn't playable if it's not realistic. Yes, Madden is much more fluid, but that's no substitute for authenticity. I've played 2k8 for a very long time, and like I said already it's not about making the perfect sim, that's not possible so of course there are things wrong with the game, but unlike EA they put forth an honest effort.
What people have to understand is that EA's main goal is not even making a hardcore sim, instead they want a game that can appeal to everyone. They openly admit that they leave out certain simulation aspects because "the average Madden user wouldn't be able to grasp it". What does that tell you?
To this day the route running is still far superior in APF.
APF has true gang tackling and consecutive hit animations.
The trench play is also superior, not even close
Overall blocking and Oline/Dline interaction is better
The game in general is tougher, Madden is simple and that's the way EA intends for it to be.
APF also did a far better job at replicating the players. There are certain animations that are only available for certain players. Which truly captures the uniqueness and specialties of each player.
On Madden everyone has the same animations and as such you see guys like Willie Parker running through guys and breaking tackles.
APF has less warping and far better respect for physics and momentum.
