Sorry no vids from me I’m too poor to actually buy a camera or video-camera for that matter

Although here are my impressions:

Controls are going to get some getting used to. Like maddens locomotion players move differently from past years *might be the demo

The defensive post presence has improved I was able to stop the drive from lebron and block shots *might be b/c it’s against the CPU

Animations don't look as scripted anymore lebron while going to the rim was able to move his body and alter his shot whereas in 2k10 it would have either been a dunk through the defender or an awkward animation that made lebron jump into the defender

Something’s missing from the demo was a controller layout so a lot of the stuff you had to play around with:

Double teaming is a little weird this year as you must press lb and then choose your help defender

Calling plays I didn’t really figure out although I did get 1 random play to come up by pressing buttons

backing down is weird as well as pressing the LT will no longer have your man back down the other guy *might just be the demo

Side note for argath I did not see the reach-around steal animation in fact every time I tried to steal with Kidd or Marion lebron or wade would not have it and back up or completely ignore the attempt *there was 1 foul out of the 3 attempts I made


Some other things I learned from gamescon

Germans are fucking tall at least half the Germans there were 5'11 or 6'+

Germans and long lines do not mix there hate of deodorant is a very horrible and smelly crime against humanity

Also stevsta still has the basketball touch hit 5/6 in a 3 point contest (around the world) and won a shirt, poster, and a lanyard

Sadly I could not ask any questions about the game from the reps as they were all German (no official 2k American devs or community leaders there)

couldnt figure out how to call one manually although the cpu did set a couple screens but the ai was very picky with the lanes the lead pass was not even working when I tried it as the ai would pick the ball off a lot, which is good news

also dont know if you knew this already by the vids posted but the overralls for the miami heats 3 allstars are 96(wade)97(lebron)87(bosh)
the highest overrall on the mavs is Novitzki at a stunning 83 lol

could be, i think dirk was a 84 last year. he should be 90 + easily IMO. why he is in the lower 80s is beyond me.

Dirks not in the 90's because hes not a complete player, he has holes in his game. Specifically on the defensive end, Blocks, Rebounding, Post D just a few things every PF should be good at. Dirk is average to slightly below average at those 3 things which are high priority on a PF's skill list. Thus he is not particularly a good PF, which lowers his rating. He's also not very fast or athletic.


He's very good at other things like shooting, driving, FT's but PF's arnt graded on that stuff. Try making a PG with 99 rebounding his Overall will go up very little but if you make a PG with 99 Passing or Dribbling it will sky rocket.

Thats why 2K's overall rating system hurts non-traditional players because it grades players by position not skill.

they didnt have any posted settings for the game just the start menu with all the players to customize the settings

I'm saying they aren't because I'm sure the Rashadi dude will make some adjustments before the game releases.

that rashadi dude is just a guy making his own ratings via the 2kshare the 2kinsider who is employed by 2k will put out his ratings probably towards the beginning of the season

did you notice the ref ever getting stuck on the player when trying to go to 'his spot' before giving the ball to the player on inbounds?


Or a players trying to toss the ball to the ref but the ball keeps hitting the inbounder instead

the game was barely stopped or hindered by the ref in my experience although there wasnt a lot of pauses in the game (I think only 1 or 2 inbound passes)
