NBA Jam On Fire Edition

I downloaded this last evening and all I can say is that I haven't yelled at my screen playing a video game this much in a long time. Damn!
The graphics are very good. The controls are fairly simple. The games go pretty quick. The commentary is (at times) simply hilarious; "No soup for you! (on a blocked shot) I am personally enjoying the "funk" sounding tunes.
Last night I sat down and played for over 2 hours and was in the "On the Road" mode. After advancing so far I unlocked some unkown opponent. Next thing I know I'm battling Detlef Schrempf and Rik Smits of the old Indiana Pacers in some neon-type arena. Way cool.
At least after one session this game has been F U N ! And it's not a given you are gonna win these games. It's a battle!

I refuse to buy this because I bought the disc version last year. And not because it was a bad game but because it was $40 and EA didn't release so much as a single update for the game, roster or otherwise. Yet they constantly updated their fucking. 99¢ iPhone game.

As you take your game ON THE ROAD you go to different regions and have to battle different combinations of players. You basically have to battle each NBA team 3 teams (once at each level). But the beauty is that each level not only offers up a different type of challenge (last night I unexpectedly found myself in a game where 2's counted for 3, and 3's counted for 2), but you also run into some of the all-time greats. One game last evening I battled (multiple times) against Dr. J and Daryl Dawkins of the 76'ers. The dunks were phenomenal!
It seems that each time I play I find something new and exciting. It may be time to sell Madden, because I know I didn't enjoy it as much as I have this title.

Fun game worth the 15$, but if they would have included some of the modes from last years game, this game could have been one of the best arcade releases yet.
Just wish they would have included the the half court, 21 games, and the One on One Boss battles with legends from last years game. I think I actually like last years game better, granted it had a higher price tag and had more modes. The game is good, just doesn't have the variety from last year. It is 15 bucks, so you really can't beat it for the price.
