Heat are playing pretty mediocre defense this year. They still have the ability to dominate on that side of the ball but they seem to be picking and choosing when to do so more.

Not that a lot of it matters come playoff time but it's interesting to watch.

The Heat seem to be coasting for the playoffs. I'm sure they'll be able to get out of the east, but I'm not sure if it will work against OKC in the finals.

I like George in the role that he has now, but I'd be scared to give him the large contract that he'd demand from as a free agent. I'm not sure he has the consistency of a high dollar player.

He doesn't become a free agent until after next season so it'll be interesting to see how he evolves. He's really starting become THE guy in Indiana.

Having a stretch 4 that can hit threes is probably better than what Pau gives you right now (mostly long 2s)

While Gasol is by far the better player Jamison fits with what Pringles wants to do. The rumors are the Lakers are looking to trade Gasol.

So losing the rebounding battle is fine? Jamison is a streaky shooter who can't rebound worth a damn(Granted the other night he grabbed 15 rebounds) and brings nothing defensively. The Lakers problems start with the coach they need to fire D'Antoni in all honesty, you had Jerry Sloan and Phil Jackson ready to take the job and you hire Mike D'Antoni?

He's supposed to be until Danny comes back, although David West has been THE guy this year.

The rebounding battle isn't that big of a deal, especially when you have Dwight Howard (who even though he's regressing is still a great rebounder). Likewise, look around the league, a lot of teams are sacrificing the rebounding battle to offset it with a stretch 4. Eventually when you have enough people not really caring, it won't be a "loss".
